7°/19°C, mostly sunny, noticeable winds, a tad soggy @ 68% RH...

at ze GF's, unsupervised, on my second mug...
she brave enough again to commute on her pushbike (wearing two jackets though)...

plans are to ride to the bike shed and meet a friend there to replace the brake fluids on his NT700VA
(which he got himself as a "lightweight alternative" aside his ST1300...)

Besides rummaging around I intend to disassemble some used ST1100 forks from my stash to see what's salvageable...

so have a nice week-divider...

Yesterdays ride was nice, could have lasted a bit longer, but being supervised almost 100%, I take what I can get.
Spent a few hours fishing in a lake, in the evening .
Nil for me, but my buddy caught a fine trout.

Today I’m asked to be a consultant for a friend, he’s planning on some kind of deck or platform.
Not much else.

14˚c/57f, 10mph breeze from south, rain, rain and rain.

Morning all, and thanks Martin for getting us started.

A quite chilly 3C for the ride into work. I was a bit worried when I opened my weather app and it said -2, but then I realized it was still set to Woodstock from the weekend getaway. There was fog in the low lying areas, which combined with both the dark and the fog on the helmet visor from my breath (despite the pinlock) made visibility less than ideal at times. That should all change for the ride home under a sunny 16C.

Optimistic today will be a decent day. I'll let you know tomorrow, God willing.

It's a wet 54°F in Rockville, as yesterday's soaking rain persisted through the night and continues for some time into the morning before finally tapering off. We'll top out at between 62 and 64 degrees, with persistent clouds.

There's nothing on my calendar so I don't know what else the day may bring, but I've heard one of the upstairs toilets cycle several times already so there's likely some light plumbing in my immediate future.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Alarm cat woke me at 5:30, they're all fed, and we've got the zoomies out of the way .

It's 46 and clear in MA this morning, rising to 64 and remaining mostly sunny , later.

We finally got a full day in at the track, yesterday, and they even had BBQ for everyone.
Car count was okay, and they stayed until the 4::00pm finish. The cooler but clear weather helped.

Today, I don't know what I'll be doing, but I'll try for the gym , and maybe a dog walk.

Random toilet flushes at night.

After futile investigations and parts, a new toilet was sourced and installed, yet the problem remained.

A GoPro finally solved the issue.

The cat had learned how to push the flush lever on the front of the tank.

They ended up buying a new toilet with the push buttons on the tank's lid.

Good morning all and thanks for the coffee Martin!

A rather brisk 35F here this morning with the weather guessers proposing 63F or so later under sunny skies. "They" are telling us that starting Friday an early nor'easter may hit to our south and we will just get some edges of the storm. To be safe I am pulling everything from the lawn that may blow around as weather guessers and used car salesmen are high on my list of the untrusted.

Let's see, what else has happened since my last infrequent visit ....

• A roving bear removed the septic vent pipe AGAIN Monday night. It is the first time this year. The fiber pipe is starting to get a number of tooth holes in it! I may need to have some scotch and ponder building some anti-bear structure!
• The garage door contractor suddenly decided schedules don't matter and didn't show up a week ago. When contacted he said they would install 2 doors next week (29th) and the third on October 15th. There didn't appear to be a reason other than "because". From what I am told it seems to be a trend in the trade.
• On a positive note, I almost folded/rolled my canvas tent back small enough to fit in it's original carry bag. The zipper will not quite zip. I call that a win.

It dropped into the 60s last night, and this does not bode well for any endless southern summer.
I'll try to reduce my whining this year over the things I cannot control -- like the impending, evil, miserable cold.
Yeah, I can try not to b!tch and moan -- but no guarantees.
It's not getting freezing -- yet.
But I know it's coming.
Otherwise, the clock which i try to ignore is insisting I must go to work.
And I still have coffee to finish.
It just goes to prove what we already know... life is not fair.

Good morning, all. Thanks, Martin.

Woo Hoo! The weather finally broke. 20 degree drop from previous day. With yesterday’s high of only 75, I was able to wash the SUV, an then decided to shampoo the upholstery and carpet. I spent close to 5 hours, which is the longest I’ve been outside since June.

It’s 65 now, and I’m headed out to do a front break job, since it’s clean and presentable. It gets double the mileage of my F-250, but Teddy hates not having the bench seat to lay down on.

Morning Martin & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 59F, up from 41F and heading for 80F. No winds now, but later they will be out of the NNW @ 8 to 16mph. According to the weather guessers, after this week, we drop down out of the 80Fs, and we'll be looking at the 70Fs for a week or two, before the 60Fs come at us! Looks like Summer, here is over!

I clicked on that picture of the cat flushing the toilet, when one of the neighborhood cats stode by on the wall between the houses. Thought it was funny, timing!

Today, I'll be running to the post office to ship out the quilt that Chris made and we Raffled off at the dinner last Thursday.



The $$$ will be used to help payoff WeSTOC 30 expenses! I'm still waiting to hear from the hotel for the costs of the dinners.

Then I'll come home and mow and trim up the lawns. Probably kill a few weeds, while I'm at it!

Tomorrow morning are our annual doctor visits. I feel that Medicare could care less about what you really need and just want to make sure they can get rid of you as soon as possible!

As soon as Chris gets up, we'll get some breakfast. We have moved everything back into the house fridge, so the Pepsis are back in the garage fridge.

Morning all! Grey and overcast here now but they promise sun by the time I have to ride home. 12C now, 18C later.

We're full into election season, both municipal and provincial after Mr. Eby saw that the opposition was tearing itself apart. He's not even two years into his current mandate but spied an opportunity. I get the strategy but I don't like having to pay for the cost of yet another election so soon in order for him to maybe get the large majority he wants. The sad thing is that there really is no credible opposition to consider. Plus c`a change....

We spent the last four days in Tofino, one of my favourite places on earth. Just relaxing and enjoying the waves and the scenery.

Good morning everyone and thanks Martin. 75 with a steady, light rain at the moment with predictions of heavy rain and T storms later in the day.
I finished the priming of closet doors yesterday so on to the next steps of Git er done.
Another tropical storm is forming to the South and it might become an issue in the next couple of days. It could rival hurricane Lala for rain and wind damage.
