• Start with a City beginning with A
    • This is BY STATE
    • Similar to the Tag contest, there will be one thread per state
    • Post a picture of your bike AND some sign, building etc which clearly shows the city/state you're in
    • The next person posts from a city with the name beginning with B, then C, D, etc
    • You can't posts back-to-back pics, you have to wait for a person to post the next city
    • Once Z is reached, the game starts over with A
    • If your state doesn't have a city beginning with the next letter in sequence, it's okay to skip that letter
    • If the location sits for more than one month, the person that posted that is open to move it to the next letter.

The World Wide game is a bit different as it is by whatever is considered a geographic type of regional category, state/province/village etc. and all those will be in the single World Wide A-Z topic.

IA: A to Z (Round 3)

Re: IA: A to Z

Here's "E" Pretty small town; Nothing in town has its name on it.

Re: IA: A to Z

Brakes work SO much better when new. Will see if the new plugs give me better mpg or not. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't if the old ones were still working ok.

Here you go Brian.

Re: IA: A to Z

OK, I will post the next town. I took a short ride around town running errands. Here's "J" for Johnston

No grip puppies (they were getting old anyway) and my old CrampBuster broke so got a new one. Trying it out on this ride.

Well, here it is. The next letter in the Iowa A-Z game... Redfield
My wife actually told me to go for a ride. She didn't want to come along but thought I'd like to view the colors of the trees. She also went a different way in her cage to do the same and also wanted to do some shopping. It turned out we were both almost a week late since it looked like many of the trees were past their prime colors and many had already lost most of their leaves.
But it was a nice short ride just the same. And turned out to be a very nice day to ride too. Temp was perfect for riding.

Well, I waited 2 months. I think the way this game is going in Iowa this will likely be the last posting in this game for this year... at least for me anyway since I'd have to wait at least a month before cutting in again. :)
Thought I'd get a short, 65+ mile, ride in before the crappy sleet and snow starts to arrive tomorrow (and continues for the next 3 days!).
As it was the temp stayed right around 36-38*F all the way around and the side roads were wet so I kept on super slab for most of the way since that was dryer surfaces.
So here is Stuart:

Now, I know I'm not the only rider in Iowa to get out... especially on weekends like this when the temps are in the low 50s! But just to keep this game moving right along here's the next town. Truro. There was a ball game or some other event at the local school and there were way more cars in the school parking lot than live in town for sure. But you know those small town schools. They draw from all over the county.

Was planning on taking a bit of a ride last Monday (had the day off) but rain and iffy temps spoiled that idea so postponed the riding to today. Glad I did. Was nice and sunny all day and the roads are some of the favorite routes for mc riders in this area. Even saw other riders out on the county highways. Some sport bikers in the towns only but a few small groups of cruiser riders on the highways. Needed to stop at Fareway for some groceries so took the long way to get to a farther away store in another town. Ended up with 111 miles on some nice easy curvy roads. That's about my kind of day trip. Enough to say I went some miles but not too far to allow time for other things too.

Been more than long enough here without activity. I really feel like I'm playing with myself

Here is the next A-Z city tag for Iowa... Urbandale (note: different location than the last time I tagged this).

Come on. It's spring. It's warmer. It's riding time. Even for shorter trips close to home. I try to get 50-100+ miles every couple of weekends (weekly commute not included). Not been real successful at that but close.

Again... long enough to wait for getting this game updated. Here is V for Valeria picked up on the way to LOCSTOC.

I guess it's been over a month since that last tag was set. Here's the next one... W is for Winterset.

Note: noticed the link to the photo was broken so here is the fix...

Been a while so let's liven this game a bit in Iowa... at least for one more go.
Since there is no real "town" in Iowa that starts with "X" we'll skip that letter same as last time 'round.
Here's "Y" for Yale. Or is that Yale for Y?
