Indicator (turn signal) reminder. audible warning

If you wire the ground wire from the buzzer to the brake wiring it will cancel the buzzer evrytime you apply the brake, handy when you are sitting at a junction

Hi Broc11, I can see how the buzzer is silenced easily enough; does the normal operation of the buzzer then rely on a path to ground via the resistance of the stoplight filament or am I having a"Mahogany Moment"(as thick as)!Ed.

The buzzer I have is item one in Critters post,it explains in the ebay add how it is wired, the ground from the buzzer goes to the wire on the brake circuit that becomes live when the brakes are applied, this silences the buzzer until the brake is released.
I'm not an eletrician but it's simple to wire and it works perfect, that's as best as i can explain it,simple cheap mod that has the potential to be a life/injury saver.

I put a buzzer on DParker's Wee. Everyone in the group ride knows when she has her turn signal on! It's really helped her learn to cancel the signals.

If you add 2 diodes on the hot side of the buzzer, one for each hot line coming from the turn signal input, you only need one buzzer for both sides of your turn signals instead of a buzzer for each independent side. The diodes act as a one way flow control valve so that the current can not light up the other side of the turn signal lighting. Be sure to purchase the loudest buzzers that you can get.

If you have an Autocom system or other similar audio system, I did post a build on an in-ear turn signal warning device a couple years ago that I built from scratch. I'm sure a search would find it fast. I'm still using that same system and I have built a second one that I mounted on the Tenere. Works great and it's really compact.
