Good morning everyone

The Cubano roast is ready for you, so come pour yourself a steaming mugful, sit back, relax for a minute, and tell us what's going on in your world.

It's 58°F and clear in Rockville, where dawn is still two hours and twenty minutes away. Sunny with a high of 86 is the outlook for the day.

I'm up early because I went to bed early and because I woke from a very unsettling dream and didn't want it to resume if I went back to sleep.

I've got a late-day golf appointment, and Brie the cat has an 0830 date with the vet. She doesn't know about it and I'm not going to tell her until the very last minute, as she strenuously resists any and all efforts to be bundled into the cat carrier. In between those to events, I'll probably play some ukulele, as I did for much of the day yesterday when I wasn't doing other things.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

It's 51, going to 77 in MA this morning, and we're told to expect partly cloudy skies.

I made it to the gym , after a 3+ mile walk in the Outback with the neighbor's dog.
We had some drama at the house, as I was returning from the walk, when Brenda called to tell me that Monica had opened the screen slider and escaped. She was under the deck , and it took Brenda some time to get her back inside.
The good news is that I can run, albeit slowly...
I adjusted the latch on the door, but we're still paranoid about them getting out.

Today's plan is for more gym time, and the porch stairs. I think I'll make that my first task, since I've been putting off end of the day tasks.

Morning all, and thanks Keith for the coffee.

10 and still dark for the ride to work. 18 and sunny for the ride home.

Our feline had a date with the nail clippers when I got home from work yesterday. She was surprisingly accepting this time around, and I got them done without help from anyone else. It's normally a 2 person affair. She'd been scratching at her home built scratch / climbing post more than usual lately (and other places she shouldn't scratch,) so I figured she needed a pet-a-cure.

The neighbourhood cat (owners live one street over, but the friendly cat goes wherever it wants, visits with whomever it wants and everyone in the subdivision knows the cat.) has an an airtag on it's collar. The owner said he's tracked the cat up to 2km radius away form the house.

Thanks for the reminder- Brie also needs a mani-pedi. I'll add that to the list of services requested from the vet today.
 
Good morning, folks. Thank you, Kieght, for the Cubano roast this fine morning 50F by noon is 72F very nice day here. I loved it up here during Spring and Fall :D But Georgia is gonna be some adjustment for me for a few years. After shovel/blower snow for over 50 years, it's enough for my old age :D Have a wunderful Day Y'all

Where we are currently switching from chatGPT to Gemini. And we have built tons of chatGPT prompts and GPTs for a lot of processes and systems.
Several reasons for that transition, but I won't bother you with the details. But there are differences which must be taken into account.
Hope you're not allergic to cats. I guess you could drink your coffee in the swing on the front porch, or in a chair on the back deck. Temp is still cool, even cool enough for y'all up in igloo land.
Our oldest cat likes to sneak out for an adventure on occasion, usually when Roz opens the front door to straighten the flag on the porch.
You can hear him running whenever the front door opens, but we normally leave through the basement door to the driveway. He's fast.
Only one other has gotten out a couple of times, and the rest are either not as curious, or they know where their food is and don't want to be too far away.
But out the front door is a busy street at times, and there are hawks all around who might like to make a family meal of one of them.
Roz has inadvertently trapped a cat behind a door, when they sneak into the walk-in closet, the laundry room, the pantry, or the door from the kitchen to the basement stairs.
They dart in their like a flash, and she doesn't know it.

Well, they ARE interesting critters.
I envy their athleticism, I'll admit. And their quickness and flexibility.
Like little lions.

We live maybe 200' from our Main street, and our street, off of Main, is busy.
We lost one of our first two cats to a car, and all of our cats since have been indoor pets.
 
G'mornin' from the office! Not quite as chilly a ride in as yesterday, 61F/16C. Probably didn't need the jacket liner, and made better time than I expected despite me rolling out of bed late. That quick shot of Cubano made the difference I think, thanks Keith!

I pretty much did nothing after work except gather a few groceries that weren't available the last time I went. Probably because for my workout I did the 9/11 stair climb challenge during lunch. 2200 steps in about 41 minutes. First time I'd tried it but I was pretty sure it was doable as long as I paced myself. Can't imagine doing it with a extra 100 lbs of gear and the air filled with smoke and grit...Whereas I get to wear nice comfy workout clothes and shoes then step into a shower afterwards. Anyhow, today I feel better than expected, though some lower back pain required a hit of motrin. All good now.

Tonight, I must resolve to get SOMETHING accomplished before the wife decides for me.

Keep it up. Associating it with good helps a lot. Our Tux (aka The Prince Of Purrrsia) will now lay in my lap, treats to my side and let me do his fronts with almost no fuss. 10 clips and he gets rewarded...did I mention he's VERY food motivated? Good luck.

Tried putting a collar on him once but he hated it so much he tried to bite it and got his jaw stuck underneath. Scared the crap out of me and lucky I was there to watch him, hold him still to remove it. He can also open doors (lever style) so everything has to be locked. Caught him stuck in the garage, the guest room, and basement more than once.

Morning all! It's a beautiful sunny day out there, a mite bit chillier than it has been, it was about 9C when I headed out on the ST. Currently 14C with a predicted high of 24C.

No cat-tastrophe's to report here though I guess I might need to have a cat for that to happen. There's several neighbour cats that occasionally saunter by including one that is missing a leg. That one does more of a kilter than a saunter. I'm firmly on the dog side of the debate but living in a semi rural area I could see the utility of a cat....the animal kind, not the tastrophe version.

Good morning and thanks Keith. 70 degrees is the official freezing mark in Hawaii and that's where the thermometer sits.

I was hoping the Menehune would stop by last night and finish the car, but no joy there. I am faced with this when I step outside.

Torn down to the studs and ready for rehab, I will be too when this is finished.
