Jim was a friend and riding companion. He was one of the characters you wanted to see at events. He was cantankerous at times but always fun to be around....grumpy or not. I shared many good times with Jim, rode many miles with him, stayed at his house a couple of times and shared millions of laughs. He will be remembered at events as long as Mellow lets us have them on this site. I like to think he is riding with all of those that have passed before and having a blast. Rest in peace my friend. I hope to see you on the other side.

Jim and I shared a lot of laughs and rode many a mile together over the years. He was one of the first people that I met at a STOC event. We saw each other frequently at more events at many different locations and always had good conversations. Nothing but good memories! Photos say much of it the best...

Rest in peace, old friend. You will always be remembered by this fellow Iowan. Condolences to Virginia and the rest of his family

Sadly, John

Sorry to hear this.
I'm reminded that, as a "relatively" new-comer, of 2 things.
1. Most of the people remembered on these Memorial Threads, I've never met, much less ridden with. And I've rarely seen their posts here. For most of them.
And 2. I really, really, REALLY need to get out more.
