Good morning all!
We’ve had a great Thursday evening, it just carried on a wee bit…
So, we have a pot of Folgers, a platter of back bacon & Grade “A” Maple syrup! (Tariff free)
All the best fix-ins to make it enjoyable!
Pull up a seat, no need to be shy!
If you don’t see what you think you need, speak up!
I may not be available first thing, so do your best, today will bring what it will!
Good night to all & to all a good night!
WB

G'Day...

17°/26°C, glaring sun, 74% RH... so its darn hot again... the atmosphere is charging for the thunderstorms on the weekend...

Nespresso defibrillation at home... darted into the office on the ST... nah, that ain't speeding, just ambitious commuting... ;)

some blood thinning Nescafé... sent a few emails... :coffee:

Thursday is generally notorious for increased traffic volume, but since Monday is a holiday and everyone tried to run into the long weekend,
yesterday's ride home turned into an "expedition"...
A hand full of fender-benders on the bypass solidified the gridlock, so I was zig-zagging on some alternative routes, which worked well...

enjoy the start into the w/e!

Thanks Brian,

Good morning everyone. 12C here and there's a red sun cresting the horizon for the ride into work this morning. It should switch to yellow later on.

Got the back stairs rebuild last night under floodlights at just after 10pm. Had lots of junebugs to help me. My MIL had asked me to replace a top board on the stairs, and when I took it off found the stringers underneath were all bad. Ripped it to nothing and rebuilt from scratch.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Hope

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the early brew-up ("brew, ha ha"?) Brian.

81 years ago today, Allied forces landed on beaches in Normandy...

It's 66°F in Rockville, could get to 85 under partly cloudy skies. There's a chance of showers in mid-afternoon but that shouldn't dampen my early round of goof.

Cardiologist gave me a good report yesterday, confirming that I'm not dead yet.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Brian.

It's 70, partly cloudy and humid in MA this morning, rising to 80 with thunderstorms predicted for this afternoon.

I tried to get the dog and myself out before the worst of the heat, yesterday, and was only mildly successful. We still got a little over 3 miles in, though.
Brenda and I went to her old company's event at the Woo-Sox game, and it was a pleasant time of catching up with her coworker friends. There were a lot of children and babies, and it was an enjoyable time. And the Woo-Sox won!

Today, I'll head over to the track in Thompson for their open track day.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, everyone. Thanks, Brian.

69/86 and cloudy, with rain predicted late afternoon. The weather guessers called for storms for last night, but nada. Still clear and dry. Maybe they’re wrong about today’s rain. One more grocery pickup this morning, and then roasting a dead bovine overnight and I’m ready for the RTE tomorrow.

John

Thx Brian, good man!

12˚c/54f, mixed weather.

Sun up……04:28am
Sun down..10:48pm

I find it hard to sleep these days, so yes, I’m grumpy, all day.

Been to the dump, done some errands, bought wine, Mrs Stu has another day off so she volunteered to get shrimps…whats next? Will the sun stop to shining, will the moon fall down, or something worse?

Have a supernice weekend!
Stu

If you wonder where it is…

Thanks for the coffee, Brian, but i must correct your thread title... it's not just "just another Friday", it's the Friday before the Nashcat RTE!!@!!@
I expect tonight I'll gather all the rain gear, and get to wear it most of the day tomorrow.
But it's a small price to pay for all the protein we shall consume.
Sadly, Kaiser will stay home again, and he does not know what he's missing. The ride, that is, because he doesn't get to eat people food.
Before I get home, two friends Alan and Tom are having a combined birthday party at one of their houses, with dinner, so that's the last stop. Roz wanted me to be back in time for that, but I firmly told her that's not likely to happen. Banana pudding for dessert, which isn't my favorite anyway.
At least Alan makes good coffee.
Some of you I will see tomorrow, and some of you I will miss.
Enjoy the day, ...the weekend is next!

Good morning, all, and thanks for getting things rolling, Brian.

I'll echo what Mark and Keith said, though - not only is today the day before John's RTE, it's also the anniversary of D-Day. So lots to prep (for the RTE) and solemn commemoration today. Lest we forget.

We have hazy conditions again today, but they should actually change to "mainly sunny" this afternoon. I guess the wind is changing direction, at least momentarily. It's also going to be another very warm day, but it won't be as "stinking hot" or as humid as it was earlier in the week, which is fine by me. 18°C/64°F now, 27°C/81°F with a feels-like of 29°C/84°F later.

All those going to Nashcat's RTE, have a good trip, have fun, eat well...and watch out for snakes!!

Have a good one, stay safe, go safely.

Patty

Good Morning. Thanks Brian for coffee. Got woken by Precious coughing a lot at like 5 am, so have had breakfast and need to open Airport gate soon. Not agreeing with the weather app, saying mostly Cloudy but a look outside say's mostly Sunny. Temperature 57 F high of 70 F. Weekend is going to Sunny and warm, big yeah. Trying to decide if I will attend the Life celebration of a Pilot friend today, really don't like going to Vancouver, traffic is a pain. Plus I'm getting tired of talking about my physical condition. Just want to Ride. Y'all have a good day G

G'mornin y'all from SoMD! It is practically summer here as I walked out the door, didn't catch the temp but it felt like mid-70s (23C-ish). Rode the bike in today, and while traffic was better it really confirmed my belief that it's not an enjoyable ride anymore. I diverted from my usual pleasant back road to fill up at my BJs. Because of that, I saved a few pennies gas for no real benefit. *sigh* But if I don't, then I wouldn't hardly ride at all *SIGH* Guess I'll keep doing it once in a while, only on Fridays. It needs to be exercised.

Nothing else on today's agenda except more mower wrap-up. Got the lawn mowed yesterday with another refurbished mower, a nice Toro one needing new piston rings that needed break-in. Got the front done. Went to de-poopify the backyard, came back and it wouldn't start. Well, crap... So got the electric out and finished it then looked at the Toro. Big wet spot under the carb...stuck open float. Filter was soaked too. Whew, at least it's fixable. Got that cleaned up, carb cleaned, added a fuel filter. Just need to change the oil in it and it's ready to sell. One more outta the way. I considered keeping it as a backup but after using it, I thought not. It's self-propel is terrible. FWD and the wheel profile is very rounded so it skitters all over the place. Hills were a chore keeping it tracking straight. Glad to get it gone.

Well, enough rambling. Thanks for the Friday fill up, WB! Take care y'all!

Morning all! Sunny with some high cirrus cloud. Apparently, we're in for a heat wave this weekend, possibly as high as low 30'sC/86F.

Arrived at my computer this morning to find there is a crisis/spat between two levels of government. It's not quite Trump v. Musk but it's entertaining in its own little way.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Afternoon Brian & All from mixed clouds & Sun in Southern Utah!

Currently the clouds are forming up for more thunderstorms. But right now, it is 76F, close to the high of 77F and if today is a repeat of yesterday/last night as we were coming home, we'll have more wetstuff on the ground. We got .8 inches yesterday.

So, we made it back from our 9 day trip to Montana. It was a good trip over all. Our Grand daughter graduated with honors and will be attending Montana University this fall. She wants to to major in Political Science! :rolleyes-2x:

As you know, I trailered my :bl13: up there, with the idea that my son will use it for our Yellowstone/Montana ride in August. When I woke up on Friday morning, I got the urge to tear into his ST1300 and see what I could do with it. So I replaced the right handlebar switch/throttle, cleaned and lubed the left hand side switch. Swapped out the SMC for one in better shape, then flushed out the clutch, the brakes and replaced the front brake pads. It was running pretty good when I left. I told him he needs to ride it between now and the ride in August!

Now an interesting part of it all. When I pulled the 2004 out of the trailer, I could smell coolant. Great, now I need to find out what is going on with it. But I did bring it home. No need to leave it there, with his running good.

During the trip up, we caught a rock in the windshield of my truck. Because it was behind my GPS (suctioned to the windshield) I didn't notice it until I went to clean the windshield at one of our gas stops. The crack was already 10 inches long! :censored::censored::censored: I figured no sense getting it fixed up there, I could get another on the way home. Which I did not.

Food has been had and Pepsi(s) on the menu!

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good evening, Well I did attend the Celebration of Life for my Friend Tony Swain. Tony and his beloved Wife Mary were instrumental in starting the now famous Abbotsford Air show. The event was held in the Billy Bishop legion, first time Sharon and I were in the place, there is a lot of history on the walls. I am blessed to have known Tony and Mary. G
