K&N 303 Filter??

A friend of mine gave me 4 K&N 303 oil filters. He said his son used them on his 2009 ST1300. However, the K&N site doesn't show this filter for the ST1300 and I haven't been able to find a cross reference indicating I can use it. Looks like the filters I use but wanted to see if anyone else had any information about using this filter.

They do make one for the ST, there are some here that love them and some hate them. You have to decide which side you are on and if you want to use them.
 
I use them. I like them because you can use your 17 mm socket that you use on your drain plug on the filter. I'm not sure about that# filter?

I'm afraid i'm not much help there, I've only used the 204s. But that nut on the end sure makes it a snap to replace oil filters! :D
 
I'm no oil filter expert, but I certainly wouldn't use a filter not specified for an application, as there are other considerations in filter specifications that matter, not just whether it fits or not.
 
If you are wondering if they will fit and work on the bike they will. Here is the cross reference page for K&N's 204 filter. It lists the 303 as a cross reference filter. It also list these three Honda numbers; 15410MCJ000, 15410MCJ003, 15410MFJD01. Running a cross reference for any of he numbers I found like this page listed these K&N filters; HP-1008, KN-198, KN-204, KN-303, KN-303C.
