Article LED Headlight Conversion

The alignment shims are apparently not available anymore (at least I have not been able to find them... Anyone has any idea about it
As noted they're not needed for the 1300. The LED guru (spiderman302) did suggest a short strip of uninsulated copper wire place across the bottom slots of the housing to tilt the LED bulb down a tiny bit for proper bulb pattern. I don't know how much difference it made. I was able to aim my ancient G2 LED bulbs properly without it. That may have been because of my suspension preload kicking the tail end up a notch. I dunno.

There are a huge lot of H4 replacement bulbs available in ebay, Amazon and Aliexpress. Anybody has a recent experience? Any specific recommendations.

thanks in advance for tips

I use the bulbs shown below on all 3 of my ST1100s. In Europe, where we use H4 bulbs as standard, they are a direct swap. Take out the Halogens, put in the LEDs, all done, they fit exactly as the standard bulb, rubber cover as well. They have covered 10,000 miles so far on my solo. Very good light output and coverage. I have had no adverse activity from other road users (reacting to too bright lights) and all 3 bikes have passed two annual MOT tests (UK annual road worthiness test), which includes putting the lights on an alignment tester. These tests were done at seperate testing centres.
