Michelin Road 6 Tires

Hi Guys,
Just bought my first st1300 2011 I've booked the bike into my local honda dealership for a service MOT and new tires. The dealer is struggling to find a matching pair of Bt023 but can get me a set of Michelin Road 6 Tires the thing is they aren't the GT type, they reassure me that they are ok and on their system the GT tires are not showing but after a bit of googling I'm not sure what's your advice?

If you are fussed about GT spec then you can get either the Bridgestone T32GT or Dunlop Roadsmart IV (NA version sold is GT spec).

If you weren't aware of a GT version it wouldn't be a question. I love Michelin, had some 4s, 5s and 6s and they were not all GTs and I can't say I noticed. I only buy them now because they're available, and not on the front...

Thanks it's been a long time coming I keep telling my wife " this bike is a life changer " she just laughs at me The bike is an absolute beauty a real credit to the last owner's.
 
When GT versions became available they were made for heavier bikes wearing the same sizes as lighter bikes. This predates the time of 1100 production. My mistake.
 
@Andy Mahoney, matching the load index of the tire to the manufacturer specifications is more important than the extra marketing letters at the end of the name of a tire.

Beware of marketing scams that make you believe you need something you really don’t and charge you extra dollars for it. ;)

I've been riding on Michelin Pilots for many years, moving up as newer versions were being released. Never had any issues with them on my year round commutes, rain, sleet or shine. Had original Pilot mk1 on GPZ900R, Pr2 on FJR1300, Pr3 on DL650, 4 &5 on both of STs in GT flavours.
I rate them for superior grip and longevity, my last pair of 5s lasted 7,5k miles of 2 up motorway touring.
Today I had a pair of Pirelli Angels GT fitted in anticipation of our tour of the Alps. I only ordered them because neither PR5s or 6s are available off the shelf.
Too early to say I regret getting them but the difference is obvious, Michelins feel "plusher".
