Good morning everyone

All I know for certain is that it wasn't excessive St. Patrick's Day revelry that activated them, but something had set the mind hamsters into full active mode. Maybe coffee will help calm them down. There's enough that I can share with all of you, too. It's still Kicking Horse.

It's a chilly 26°F in Rockville at this ungodly hour, and worse than that it feels like just 18. Mostly sunny skies and a high around 40 await, much later in the day.

Mrs. Fun said yesterday that she and her sister plan to return from PA this afternoon, so I'd best shoo the dancing girls out before that and maybe get some general tidying-up taken care of.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

ever come in early, poured a perfect cup of coffee, sit down, take one sip…
only to have someone immediately pop up in the door-frame, asking stupid questions?
Such incidents should legally reset the day... :coffee:

G'Day...

2°/14°C, partially cloudy, it shouldn't rain or snow though... 🌤️

home (comfy & calm) and office (the usual BS) Joe absorbed... ☕

not much to report... SSDD and that...

I'm rationing trusty Toyota's fuel to make it to Thursday... 🤔
Those geniuses in administration issued that gas stations are only allowed to raise prices 3 times a week: Mon, Wen, Fri... 🤣
ze GF is even more pissed, Diesel has breached the peaks occurring during the famous lock-down...
I don't even want to look at the prices of groceries these days... pfffff...

Alright, back into the mine... updating prices, model numbers & tech data of a complete product range... +200 pages... BOOOOOOORING... 😑

STill not weekend yet? 🤔

Thx Keith!
Too bad you can’t shoot those hamsters without hurting yourself…

7˚C/45f, 25mph wind from south, grey.

Day started early.
Visit to the medical center to have my stitches removed. Hurt more than it should. I’m a sissy.
Then to have my barnet done.

Yesterdays tax work was done in 30 minutes, yes I had a clear moment.
Ended up better than expected, no loss.

Today will be a bit of cooking, doing small stuff.

Have a good one!
Stu

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Keith.

I'm unsure if you should be kicking a horse though, as they are known to kick back (thus the term kick back (not the money term but as in the saw had a nasty kick back.))

-8/-14 here this morning and everything's frozen again, although the snow's mostly gone from yesterday's warm temps, wind and rain. We should see -3 and cloudy for the high with some snow in the forecast for the next couple of days. Nothing major, unless you gauge snow like Sadlsor does. :rofl1:

My mom called me last night to tell me my estranged aunt had passed away. We weren't close at all, having only met her a handful of times in my adult life. We've been trying to find her since my dad passed away in 2022. I don't think I'd seen her in at least a decade, maybe two. Lots of questions, but at least we know now what's what.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Obo.

Morning all, I have no story today but I do have coffee.
I know my priorities, after all.
35 and cloudy here, warming back to 60 today and 70 tomorrow.
Nearly ready to remove the Warm and Safe Heat-Troller off the bike, but I'll wait a little longer. It was rough riding below freezing yesterday without my Hippp (Hippo) Hands, as the heated gloves could barely keep up, even with the grip heaters turned up to 80%.
In fairness, I allowed my hands to get cold outside before I put the gloves on. Should have covered my hands while attaching the trailer, but didn't, so my hands started cold and got colder.
Shouldn't need to put the Hands on again this year.
"Famous last words"...?
We'll see.
Regardless of what weather happens today or even next week, I'm convinced summer will come back.
That's my story (and my hope), ...and I'm sticking to it. And soon my clothes will be sticking to me.
We're about halfway to Friday, hang in there.

G'morning, all, and thanks for the kick, Keith! And oh, how I wish it were April 18th! Lol!

We have lovely sunshine this morning, but it's cold again. -12°C/10°F with a feels-like of -16°C/3°F right now, -4°C/25°F with a windchill of -8°C/18°F later. It will get progressively cloudier throughout the day and then will warm again tomorrow, bringing mixed rain/snow and flurries.

Not much else to report, just glad I don't have to clean up any downed tree trunks or power lines! Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.
@HampshireBiker: Welcome aboard, Jim!

Patty

April??? You're way ahead of yourself. At least allow the rest of us to catch up! :coffee:

Did I do that? If I did, it's been corrected by a Higher Authority.

Then again, it was really early and I wasn't really at my best when I started the thread.

Well I'm not a coffee guy but I do follow the happenings of the group here. I'm 2 1/2 weeks into recovery from retina surgery due to the eye gel not releasing from the back cleanly and causing 4 tears. Happens to 5%-10% of us older people. Had surgery 3 years ago in other eye but that was from a injury. As a hearing impaired person since I was 7 years old I depend on lip reading to help with hearing and eye issues are scary as hell. Have a long acting gas bubble this time so about another 4 - 6 weeks before the eye completely refills with fluid. Already spent a week doing the face down crap. Now at least I can drive and get around. At least its not riding weather here in Michigan! Whatever weather Patty reports I had a day earlier!

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Keith.
If only the mind hamsters would clean up...

It's sunny and cold in NH today. The temperature is supposed to stay below freezing, so I chose today to use my last ticket of the season at Loon Mtn.
I also used up my knees...

This is the view from the top of the north peak chair.

The cats were off to an early start, as well. We removed the child gate last night so they found sleeping arrangements elsewhere on the first floor.
They're also eating wet food as well as the kibbles.

Brenda came with me, and will drive home.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Good Morning, should not complain this morning has been challenging on keeping a positive attitude. Started with Precious having a coughing fit at 3:33 am by my alarm clock. That and I'm a bit stiff and sore from removing rear wheel from Lady and cleaning it up. Today is remove front wheel and clean it up to. Hopefully New tires come in today or tomorrow. Either day is fine as it is still ugly riding weather and will be till Saturday. 50 F with a high of 54 F and 1.15 inches of rain in the next 24 hours. Last 24 hours saw 1.45 inches of rain. Wind from SSE at 11 Gusting to 20 mph. Well take care y'all, GIMG_7821.jpeg

Morning Keith & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 57F, up from 33F and heading for 83F! :redface-2x: Yep, we are in for some record highs for March, here in Southern (and the rest of) Utah! We have a slight breeze already, but later the winds will be out of the W @ 9 to 12mph.

We got word that my son and granddaughter got to their desert location. Today they are supposed to be joined by my BIL & his friend. And it's going to be really hot out there! :nuke1:

Here, after I get going, I'll get out and figure what needs my attention the most, in the yard. I'm thinking I need to connect my water line up to the greenhouse, before I finish the greenhouse. Having water there would be a good thing!

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) on the menu for later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

G'dafternoon from SoMD the office! Yes, I finally have a cubicle again, and I don't have to share with anyone! And I have lots more room for stuff, if I had stuff. I did lose my window view of the Potomac though...give and take I guess. Good thing there's coffee in here, thanks Keith!

I found out the hard way that the Keurig machine in the new kitchen isnt functioning...okay it doesn't function well. My sleuthing determined it is missing a critical seal where it punctures the pod lid, letting coffee and grounds go squirting all over. How did the heathens working here before function without this critical piece of equipment?!?

Oh, it was 26F/-4C when I left, and only up to 40F but expected to be pretty nice by Friday.

Gotta keep it short as I still have moving-in to do. May everyone have the perfectly caffeinated day, take care y'all!
