G'Day...

24°/39°C, hazing glare, not a cloud in sight... ☀️
so pretty much yesterdays carbon-copy... including the obligatory "warning"...

(almost) properly caffeinated... :coffee::coffee:

the great news during last nights ST bone picking session: "... no water supply on porch..." :cautious:
So I had to load all and everything as is, totally dusty, dirty and mucked into ze GF's car... which she had detailed just recently BTW...
Arrived back at her place at dusk with stuff stacked up to the roof liner, sweaty, dirty and fed up... I took a shower and called it a day... 🥵
Not ze GF...
She insisted on recovering all from the car, dragging everything into her garden to rinse the items down one by one... 🤨
despite the heat, soggy air and a gazillion mosquitos attacking in waves... dedication and that... 😎

Now I can switch back onto the ST one day earlier... 😎
start swapping rotors (AGAIN!!! 🤬) and pre-checking the '00 for the oncoming MSL on Sunday as well as the ride to Sweden next week...
(update: just edited the Gathering routes published by the SPEC... 😁)

ze cat showed new tactics this morning, no screams, no moaning, no attempts of murdering you while going down the stairs... 🤔
instead squatting in accusatory silence in front of those empty(!!!) bowls, with a body language/stance only a cat (well, also some hooman females...) can muster... 😆

Well, duty calls... 😒
But: we made it halfway through the week... 😎

Good morning everyone

thanks for the start, Martin.

It's a wet 73°F in Rockville. I'm not sure whether it's raining at this exact moment but it has been raining recently- the pavement is still glistening with no sign of drying off- but we're due for more of the same until around 1100 hours or perhaps even noon. The high will be a humid 84 that feels like 97.

Today's plan was for a goof outing but given the weather conditions I've begun to rethink that. I've still got a couple hours to decide.

[EDIT, 15 minutes later: it's now pouring down rain. I've seen harder, but this is heavy enough that I can hear it on the roof. I doubt there'll be any outdoor activities for me this morning, perhaps not at all today.]

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee , Martin.

It's 69, going to 83 under a sunny sky.
It should become partly cloudy, later.

Yesterday's haircut, gym visit, and first Tuesday events went well. We had the regulars at first Tuesday , plus a couple who we haven't seen in quite a while.

Today, I'll head back to the gym, and then on to whatever...
Maybe a walk with the pup.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Thanks again Martin, and congrats for getting the old barn rinsed off your new old ST inventory.
Yesterday as I was preparing to leave work, the skies opened up and released quite a lot of water, so I just retreated back to my office and waited it out, doing some more job stuff.
An hour later, no raingear was needed.
Like you, I see no clouds this morning, only scattered showers suggested / proposed for this evening, so we shall take our chances and take the dog and trailer to work.
The radiator should arrive today, but as Roz' car wasn't ready yesterday, I'll have to retrieve her car after work, drive it home, collect her, and then we'll go back to the garage to get my bike.
I proposed she just ride on the GSA with me to get her car after work,..."just this one time".
It's hardly even 10 miles away.
Nothing doing.
Hard headed woman.
Guess the radiator replacement may wait till the weekend.
And I wonder why the weekends always seem so short...
The grass height was looking "kind of" OK over the weekend, but now it's shouting to everyone passing by, "hey! Guess who didn't mow their yard last weekend!"
Thanks a lot, rain.
But at least it's green.
One of Roz' second cousins was selected for the America's Got Talent TV show, and she's pretty good, I must say. She is half of a duo she recently teamed up with in Nashville not too long ago, and they have a few songs on Amazon Music.
Roz asked, "how can they do that? They don't have s record contract yet."
This ain't 1974, my dear. A record label is not a requirement, to publish music these days.
We have the internet now, but she still doesn't understand.
Which reminds me, with the recent new post by someone in Houston, that with the internet - and st-owners.com - we don't need a Honda dealer to fix our bikes these days, either.
With my first cup of coffee nearly evaporated, I won't ask you to listen to any more of my drivel, and I'll go refill this mug another time or three.
I hope all the best for all of you today.
And please let me know if y'all have any ideas about how to extend my weekend, as long as it doesn't involve physical pain.
Time will always drag when you're hurting.
Don't need that.

G'mornin' from the office! It was an overnight drenching that woke me up a few times, clocked over an inch of rain by the time I shuffled downstairs to feed the herd and reach for that cuppa life, thanks Martin!

Took the car in today, and like somehow a miracle it stopped raining in time for my walk in from the parking lot. Can't argue with that, but it was very steamy the whole way...we're talking over a mile walk. So instead of rain, I was still drenched with sweat. Yuck.

Ah, garage work has continued, trying to get things fixed and sold. Moved one mower and a trimmer. But the guy who bought the mower shows up at my door a few hours later with it saying it stopped running. A bit alarming, but I pulled the carb off, and dumped the bowl into a pan...revealing several large globs of water. He said he had added gas to the tank before, yup. So I think that's where it came from but said hey it could've come from the rain we just had, and sent him on his way. Whew!

Worked on the "Frankenstein" mower last night trying to get it done. It revealed a cracked tank and leaky carb. And while trying to remove said carb, I broke an ear off the butterfly for the linkage. I fortunately had the old engine so swapped that carb and tank. Too late to test fire it, but should be good to go now.

Today, who knows what will rear its ugly head, but I have the coffee strength to defeat it! Take care y'all!

And one more little thought thanks to the rain: it rains in paradise, too. But that's why they put little umbrellas in your drinks...to keep them from getting diluted by the raindrops.

Morning Martin & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 80F, but that's nothing to where we are heading today, where it will be 108F, in ST George. And by the time we get home, it will be around 97F, with the winds from the WSW @ 12 to 17 MPH.

We are going down to ST George to meet up with the guy that will be doing the WeSTOC 30 Shirts. So we can go over his order sheets for them.

BTW, has anyone heard from our members in Spokane? I'm thinking of Tim & Diane...

I got the lawn mowed last night, while it was much cooler. I'll get the backyard lawn tonight.

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ for the morning start. Pepsi(s) will be had later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
