at home the 'make Nespresso - have a sip - kick ze protesting GF outta bed - finish Nespresso' procedure... :coffee:
at least did machine only emit its standard wheeze on startup... what a relieve... ;)

commute rather uneventful, seems most of the 🤡 have finally left for their holidays...
(yeah, go and annoy the folks abroad with your BS driving...)

office Nescafé... after some delay as the hallway door has been found locked again... :cautious:
interesting though that the warehouse worker does have a key... 🤔

In my life now there are 4 midweek days and three weekend days, and for that I’m grateful.

Yesterday I snuck out early to go fishing, as we had a little weather window with calm wind.
More waves than fish, but I caught a cod and two pollocks, and had a great me-time.

Today is all about cooking traditional komle, as my family is coming together for the first time in 8 months.
Will be fun.

16˚c/61f, showers, 20mph breeze from south.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. Traffic in this area gets noticeably lighter every summer, too.

It's 67°F and sunny in Rockville. Right on cue yesterday afternoon at 1600 hours the heavens opened up. We got 0.86" of much-needed rain in about 25 minutes. None of that today, though: sunny and rather humid is the expectation with actual high around 82 and feels-like a handful of Fahrenheits above that.

Yesterday was all about rest; today is all about goof. I'll play the full course with the neighbors this morning, then play nine holes late this afternoon with that usual group.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
 
G'mornin' from SoMD! Haven't posted in several days but you didn't miss anything. Just fueling up before I ride in to the office, thanks for the go-juice, Martin! Whoever that keymaster is, he sure likes to poke the bear.

As noted, not much goings on. Keith got all the rain up north, we got none. But at least the rose bushes are finally blooming. I feared they were done for after this last brutally cold winter. But they have sported a few flowers in defiance.

Gotta get going, so take care y'all!

Is your office key-person named Pavlov, by any chance?

It's 69 and mostly cloudy rising to 70 and we have another chance of showers and T-storms.
If we got rain, yesterday, I didn't notice it. Radar showed cells out west an north, but aside from dark clouds, most of yesterday's rain missed us.

Assuming that the rain would begin after noon, I took the neighbor's dog out for a walk downtown and back. The back part involved side streets, and the total mileage was 2.5. The ankle felt ok, and the knees were a bit sore, even with the knee brace. Next time, I'll prep with Tylenol.
I never made it to the gym, but did go out and clean and detail the truck's interior a bit. It was looking a bit dusty, and the winter's grime needed to be vacuumed.

Today, Brenda and her girlfriend are going to the casino in CT for a bit. Her girlfriend has been ill, lately, and this will be the first time together in a while.
I'll head to the gym, and maybe shop a bit. I didn't clean the truck's windows, so I'll do that, if the rain holds off.

Nah, its a she, called Manu (short for Manuela) and the boss-man's squeeze as some might remember... ;)

I could counteract by simply showing up late, just like she is, notoriously not appearing before 0815hrs... 🤔

We'll bring her up on charges with the ICC.

Standard "heat advisory", so preposterous. It's SUMMER, if ya didn't know.
Roz called as I was about to leave work yesterday with "I have a flat tire."
Fortunately she was only 2 miles from home, so Kaiser and I came to the rescue.
Put on the donut spare, and plugged the tire back home. The plug held, but WAIT!
There's a SECOND hole!
Plugged that one too, holding at the recommended 44psi.
Dint know if I have time to put it back on before I leave for work.
Oh, I have an idea!
(Don't worry, it didn't hurt.)
I could put down the phone, and then I'll have time to change the donut for the real tire!
See?
Coffee DOES help me to think more clearly!

Morning all! Sunny with blue sky here, 15C now, 20C later.

Working from home today again. I checked the tire on the ST and couldn't see a visible nail or screw so it's either buried in the tire or maybe it's a slow leak? I pumped it yesterday and it seemed to be holding a couple hours later. I'll run out to the garage in a bit and see if it's gone down overnight. If so, a quick trip to the local mechanic to pull it off and have a look see.

Check the valve stem (both the internal check valve and where it mates to the wheel) as well as the rim. Not all leaks are punctures.

As Ray would say "phhhhtttttt."
 
Morning Afternoon Martin & All from not so sunny, Southern Utah!

We have thunderstorms around and the clouds are going to keep it cool while I mow & trim the lawns today! :)

Currently it is 80F69F, heading for 85F. A slight breeze now, but later the winds will be out of the SW @ 16 to 22 mph.

Okay, I was in the middle of typing this and when I looked at the weather, it said "Rain in 12 minutes"! So I hastily ran out, got the lawn mower out and mowed the front lawn.

We only got 0.01" out of that one, but we saw the lightning and heard even more thunder, from that storm. In about an hour, a bigger one "may" hit. We'll see :well1:

Today is my youngest Son's birthday. Hard to believe our Youngest is 37! :unsure-2x:

This is him, on the right, riding north with me to meet up with two of his brothers, in Idaho Falls, on our way to Yellowstone NP, for our last years ride.

With the storms, I doubt if I'll get much else done today. Maybe I'll go work in the garage, maybe...

Breakfast was had before the lawn mowing, and I think I'll go grab a Pepsi.
