I had been wanting to either get a new seat, or have my stock seat modified to make it more comfortable for my wife to ride longer than 100 miles or so. She has had discomfort issues with the stock seat due to tailbone issues. The stock seat pan for her just put to much pressure on her tailbone. A new seat just was not in reach price wise for us right now. So I tried some combinations of different foam and shapes & found one that worked pretty well for us last summer. I took what I had come up with to a local car interior shop that had recovered a 1981 KZ550 LTD seat for my brother back in 1982.
Anyway here is a few pictures of how my modifications turned out. I picked up the seat today, and as soon as the roads here in Indiana are clear and dry we will try it out.
