So I was in need of some moly grease as defined by the Honda Service Manual:

I thought how hard could that be? I'll just cruise on down to the local auto parts store and get some.
Turns out that there are a lot of greases that call themselves moly grease, but nowhere on the can does it specify the percentage. So I noted the brands and went home to check out the data sheets. Surely they would specify the percentage of moly.
Well, no, none of the data sheets I looked at specified the percentage of moly.
After some researching, I ended up getting this:

In case you missed it, note the mil-spec on the canister. It turns out that a grease that conforms to this mil-spec "shall contain not less than 4.5 percent and not more than 5.5 percent molybdenum disulfide".
So all one needs to do is look for a grease that conforms to this mil-spec and you'll know your getting the right grease for use where Honda calls for moly grease (not paste).
Apologies if this is common knowledge; just passing it along.
