Yesterday’s Celebration of Life for Miss Judy was a success, even with me arriving late!

There were many, who shared stories of her love of people, and the cottage life she enjoyed in and around Stokes Bay!

We all miss her!

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 44°F and mostly cloudy in Rockville. The freeze warning I mentioned yesterday, for 0200 - 1000 hours tomorrow morning, is still a thing. Before that we'll temporarily add 10 Fahernheits to our trove for a total of 54 today.

I binge watched Dept. Q yesterday evening, staying up far past my usual bedtime, so a nap will be on the day's agenda along with finishing the laundry I started Saturday and neglected to finish yesterday.

Other than that, I suppose more work on the hutch refinishing project is in order.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
 
Good morning Martin (and every other coffee deprived person here this AM)! Thanks for getting thing brewing.

I think I missed spring. It is 27F here this morning with a forecasted high of between 39F and 41F, depending on the weather app I look at. At least it is supposed to be sunny!

Saturday I represented our New Hampshire Hunter Safety program at Wild New Hampshire Day where the Fish and Game headquarters parking lot is overrun with exhibits covering everything outdoors in the state. It runs the list from environmental protection thru bee keeping, hiking, forest management, fishing, boating, ATV riding, hunting, trapping, motorcycle safety and local Fish and Game/Shooting clubs. It started off a bit gray and misty so I think the public's attendance was impacted a bit but I estimate at least 7,000 people came by. I haven't been notified yet that I won any of the raffles I entered for "shiny adult noisemakers" but I did win $61 in a 50/50 raffle. It should cover the cost of the other raffles I entered!

Yesterday was another long day. We completed our spring Hunter Safety Class with 25 out of 26 students passing. I just have to put the results in the computer system today and it will be closed out.

Today will be comprised of errands and chores postponed from the weekend. (And maybe a nap.)

Be safe, be careful and keep those thoughts and prayers going for those we love.

Thx once again Martin!

Yesterdays dinner was better than expected, since my daughter and Peter also attended.
We had a nice stroll through the village afterwards, away from the rest of the group.

Today is log splitting.

Mrs Stu has the day off, so she will cook something fish like for dinner.

The weather is nice, I might wake up the beast and go for a ride later.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's sunny and 29, much like Scott,, and it'll rise to 49 with a mix of sun and clouds. Pretty much a great day for running the Boston Marathon, which is happening today.

Yesterday's track day didn't happen.
I was getting ready, went upstairs to get some heavier socks and some waterproof boots, and when I tried going downstairs, I lost my balance and fell down about 7 steps. Brenda heard me and the crutches clattering to the bottom, and the cats scattered! She dialed 911 and found a towel for the cut on my head.
Police, fire and ambulance were at the house quickly, and I was ushered to our local hospital's ER. Brenda met me there, and we sat around for the rest of the day, while they checked me out. My right side and head was beat up, so they X-ray'd my arm and shoulder. X-ray and CAT scan turned up nothing, so after an appropriate amount of time, they put 10 staples into the gash in my head and sent me home. I found bruising on my hip that kind of matched the stair edge. My left hand must have been working hard to stop my fall, I remember grabbing for the handrail, and 3 of 4 knuckles are scabbed up.

Brenda set me up with sleeping arrangements in the spare room, and the futon was actually comfortable, last night. I'm still sore, but Tylenol seems to take the edge off.

Today, I'm staying in PJs and watching the Marathon!

Much like in Scott's neck of the woods, Mother Nature has decided to send us a little sun, but not much warmth to go with it. In the words of comedian Steven Wright, "You can't have everything, where would you put it?" We have a mix of sun and clouds right now and a temp of -1°C/30°F with a feels-like of -7°C/19°F and the day's high will get no higher than 3°C/37°F but it'll still feel like -1°C/30°F. Wait, didn't I go to the store in short sleeves and sandals two days ago??

@Whisker Bill: I'm glad to hear that Miss Judy's life was well celebrated yesterday.
@steve3b3: Jeez Louise, Steve, what are we going to do with you??! Heal up quick, buddy! :(

OK, gotta go...I hear a croissant calling my name and there's some Red Leicester cheese and fresh fruit to go with it! Everyone have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Up for awhile, not doom-scrolling, but learn-scrolling.
It's very cool here (relatively speaking, natch) at 44 but 77 later. More clothes to ride this morning, to be stuffed in saddlebags later.
Oh.
I should make a lunch.
And put the trash can on the street.
Hook up the so Kaiser doesn't have to run behind the bike all the way to work.

Got up early, and halfway through my chores, I pulled something in my back. Getting the other sock on was a bitch.

@steve3b3 I hate to hear about the fall. As I’ve gotten older, my stairs have me firmly attached to the handrail.

I just installed the handrail about a month ago. Us getting up in age prompted it, as did the grand kids getting to the point of coming downstairs after naps.
I was going down on my crutches, and must have gone a little off-vertical. Overcorrected, and went down. I did manage to grab the handrail but at that point, all it did was turn me around.

We were planning on me staying downstairs after my surgery, but this pushed things up a bit.
 
Tell me Why I don't like Mondays . To much depressing News. Anyway Good Morning Y'all, 9 C mix of Sun and clouds slight breeze from the NNW at 4 mph. Heal quick and well Steve, good that you didn't break any bones, bruises heal reasonably quick from past experience. Speaking of injuries how is the leg doing? Lots to do today, but having difficulty remembering what, anyhow have a good one Y'all G
