the gasoline of life... :coffee:

G'Day...

17°/28°C... clear skies with a slight haze... ☀️
its gonna be hot... damn hot... 🥵

another Moanday... caffeinated... at the office... yuck... ☕

I was unsupervised over the weekend, ze GF had the grandkid over... kept her busy...
exploring a cave/mine/secret WWII aircraft factory, including a boat ride through the lower flooded sections...
visiting a castle, dark, spooky, including a bird of prey show in the outdoor area...
the kiddo passed out like dead every evening... 😁

working on the '94 ST in the shed was so much more peaceful and fun then all this nonsense at the workplace...

cam swap, valve adjustment, carb sync, installing the braided HEL lines...
should fly again... and stop on a dime... 😎

and Sunday morning I did the unthinkable...

I washed my '00 ST... 🚿
(I can literally see readers from UK writhing in pain... 😆)
So its shiny, its clean, its red...

well, another start into another week... hopefully with sufficient amounts of coffee... :coffee:

Good morning everyone

thanks for the coffee, Mr. Clean Bike.

It's 66°F and clear in Rockville, going to just 80 under partly sunny skies. Sounds like a recipe for a near-perfect day. It'll be marred, as it so often is on a Monday, by a round of goof but as that's entirely self-inflicted I'll not complain too much about it.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Morning all, and thanks for the startup Martin.

Reminds me I need to wash my helmet visor and bike's windscreen. Getting hard to see through the bugs and grime.

Well yesterday's torrential rains and high winds stayed longer than expected, but departed sometime overnight, leaving a clear sunny sky for this morning's ride into work. Yesterday's mugginess is gone, replaced by a cool 7C. It's supposed to cloud over a bit as the day progresses, but warm up to 20.

Lots to do on a Monday morning, so best get to it. Sooner it's done, the sooner there's more to do.

Have a super day!

Obo.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 52f/11c, going to 78f/25c in MA this morning, under a sunny sky. Wind is expected to be 5-10mph.

Yesterday's MC track day went off well, and Brenda and I finished the day with some Mexican fare.

Today, will be more MC track day in Thompson, CT.

Have a great day,
Steve

Yeah... unclear how I'm supposed to work till I'm 65...
Can't even make it to 5PM today...
;)
I solved that question / problem. I retired at 60. The wife retired at 70. We are the same age. 10 years of unsupervised days. Lots of riding then. Now we are 77 and the riding has slowed to a trickle.

All this talk of work.
Ugh.
More coffee please, Martin.
Oh.
I have some right here.
So, just as John shared his carnivorous habit (with apologies to Jimmy Buffet) which we definitely are NOT trying to amend, he graciously allows us to partake in the precipitously elevated chances for more rain, along with the flood watch swirling around his place. Along with the thick, muggy air.
Well, a 10-mile damp commute is lots more tolerable than a 180-mile RTE through heavy rains.
Reckon that means I should begin suiting up for a short, but soggy, traverse over Shades Mountain. Takes longer dressing to stay dry.
Rain won't last forever.
Few things do.
Except for my passion for riding, and for wishing y'all the best day you can create.

Well I’m back after the urologist visit. Wham, Bam, thank you sir.

He didn’t feel any problems, but scheduled an MRI anyway, saying my PCP requested it, based on my PSA level. He also stated that if any non-aggressive problem was found, he probably skip treatment because the treatment is worse than the condition.

Let’s have another cup, and find nothing to do today.

John

Morning, guys. Partly sunny w/ a high of 85; currently 54. One of the cats has a vet appointment in the afternoon and I'm still trying to decide if I want to fly today or not. I'm not sure if anyone here's following my "making more power" thread, but I broke one of the short velocity stacks installing it so we had to print a new one out. That'll be done today and the stacks will be in this evening. I'll give it a ride tomorrow to see how it does. I really wish there was a way for me to empirically qualify any changes (if at all) it makes because I'll admit that there's going to be some bias, aka, placebo effect involved.

Question for you guys with intact ST13's... how hard is it to get to your airbox? Basically, what steps would you need to do to change your air filter?

Remove seat, unbolt and lift upper fuel tank and place it in the maintenance position, remove air box cover, replace air filter, reassemble.

Good Morning, happy Monday,(sorry for the joke). Thanks Martin for the Coffee, Cloudy and windy here today 53 F maybe hitting a blisterin 63 this afternoon and wet after 5 pm. Glad I went for a 100 kilometer ride last night. Today's agenda, make two phone calls, Cancer pharmacy hopefully get next cycles meds before I head to Edmonton and the other to Vehicle registration people (ICBC). Oh yeah feed the dog and cat also Pet the dog. Not much else to do today, but I'm sure something will be happening, in the meantime have a great day G

Morning all! Grey and overcast here with rain forecast. I however, decided to read the forecast for Calgary and it said sun all day. So I put on the mesh jacket and out the door I went. I was a bit puzzled by the grey sky but figured "ah, it will likely clear up by the time I ride home....". It will. In Calgary. Here however, lots and lots of rain. On the upside, with a second shower, hygiene should be three in the green. Currently 12C with a high of 15C forecast. For here. Not Calgary. They'll get up to 19C.

Bought a new mattress over the weekend after OCD research which really revealed not much of anything. It's basically mattress roulette. Hopefully, it will come up on red.

Hope everyone has a great day!
