Took a sip of coffee and immediately got annoyed at something that hasn’t even happened yet... :coffee:

G'Day...

9°/14°C, full overcast, haze with the sun trying to penetrate causing a dim scene like shown in the Perseverance' photos...
rain predicted for the afternoon/throughout the night, gonna be an interesting mix with all the Sahara dust in the atmosphere... 🌧️

ze GF got up all by herself this morning, now that's something new...

much needed home and office... :coffee:

uneventful commute, now lets see what the day brings... 😎

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 60°F and clear in Rockville. Later, mostly sunny with a high around 80. The weather makes me wish I were camping somewhere, but my lazy habits make me just as glad I don't have the hassles that go with doing so.

Apart from a check-in phone call with our finance guy there's nothing specific on my plate. A gym visit and / or bike ride would do me good, and each is long overdue. But will they happen? See under "Lazy", above.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Thanks for the start it's orange power ade [aid? eh'd ... I dunno ... ] but it'll be coffee on the second wake up; a mix of star bucks and kick ass or something, never get a straight answer - drink it and shut up!
It's all in good humor, I think anyway
9C seems to be the number last few days and a couple more here on the wet coast, in and around, drizzle and overcast if not full rain good for the ST it likes this weather so I do too
Couldn't get on it yesterday maybe after work will see
Good couple of days so far, working outside around big noisy equipment, rain gear, hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, training a new guy seems to have not killed himself yet, can't hear the phone
My left boot filled up with water about 9:00 am [usually I'm ok with 3:00 but it's not what you want at 9:00] and it occured to me; nobody's bothering me, I'm not cold [like Fort Mac and Grande Prairie days] and this ____'s easy
Was going to wish everyone a good one but I opted for one of these :nanana1: I gotta stop watching this guy
If you're out and about have a safe ride and don't follow too close
(edit) ... and look how cheap gas got... overnight!! 😆

Morning all, and thanks Martin for getting us started.

4C here and sunny for the drive in. It's supposed to top out around 12C later on, which will be nice.

Channelling my inner Keith, yesterday's first afternoon vacation day was a success. I returned a tire to Princess Auto, followed by going home and crawling into bed and sleeping for a few hours, accompanied by the very pleased cat. I'm sure she'd take regular afternoon naps with someone, but someones are usually never home. It's TBD if today will be another day of happiness for her. :rofl1:

As for going camping, you can always do that in the back yard!

Enjoy your day.

Obo.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's 52 and sunny in MA this morning, rising to 81 for today's high. We'll have a mix of sun and clouds, but it'll mostly remain sunny.

Yesterday's trip to the hospital for pre-op tests went pretty well, after they initially forgot about me.
I'll visit with my Urologist today to go over HIS pre-op instructions.
One of the instructions I wasn't expecting is to remove facial hair before surgery. I haven't been without a beard since the mid-90's, and the mustache for even longer, so that will be a change!

Yesterday evening, while feeding the cats, we had only one visitor. We searched around, and found two in the upstairs bedroom and computer room. Monica must have followed Brenda into the bedroom when she went for her afternoon nap, and was quite content on our bed. Kailua was in the computer room, which I was in last on Sunday morning. We're going to have a cat-count, going forward, and we'll start opening up the upstairs, slowly.

Have a great day,
Steve

Actually, I've looked for a spot but between steep slopes, heavy undergrowth, and a poison ivy infestation there is no suitable spot back there.

One of the instructions I wasn't expecting is to remove facial hair before surgery

Huh. I wonder what that's all about?

Last time I had a naked face was over spring break in 1985, three months before I got married. I didn't tell her beforehand, just showed up clean-shaven one day. By the end of the week she didn't even have to look at me; just thinking about it made her smirk and giggle. Message received: I've not done a full shave in the 41 years since then.

Don't know why I'm here, besides the coffee of course. Thanks Martin.
What I mean is, I don't have anything to say or write about (my boring life, remember?), but something will appear under my fingers somehow.
Because simply having nothing to say, is seldom reason enough not say it.
Couldn't find a chainsaw carb tool anywhere in Birmingham Sunday, so Bezos gets another dollar. Simple things in my town are sometimes very hard to find in my little town.
My used, gifted chainsaw starts but won't stay running, so I'll tweak the idle screw. If I can get my hands on the special tool.
I enjoyed watching the MSF BRC skill evals Sunday with two of my friends coaching. And a nice ride home at the end of the afternoon.
Not enough coach wannabes to fill the RiderCoach prep class in May, and the next one won't be until late October. I think I'd like to get back into it now that my schedule has normalized.
Warm, dry afternoons for the next 10 days, great riding home after work in 80 degrees, but we really need some rain around here.
I didn't give you the weather forecast, only the weather pattern for Birmingham.
This Saturday my RC buddy Kerry and I will ride to Decatur to watch the MTBDR (Montana), with free food with other adventure riders. I've never been to the hosting dealer, they're kind of new I think.
Due to my personal experiences with dealers for 50 years now, I still generally hold them in low regard.
So no stories, no news, just more words on your screen.
Wise men talk because they have something to say... fools talk because they have to say something.
Have a really good day.

Morning, all. Yeah, I’m late.

71/83 and partly cloudy. Way above normal for this time of year.

I’ve been searching for some help doing some yard work, with no success. The three I’ve called this morning want to send their “estimator” by, to take pictures first. I kid you not. One even wanted a deposit. I guess I’ll have to get to Lowe’s real early enough to pick one up, before they’re all gone.

Housekeepers are the same way. Maybe I can find a gardener that has a wife that needs some cleaning work.

@steve3b3 Shaving your face is a normal activity. When my hip was replaced, the nurse dry shaved my entire left leg. That hurt worse than the surgery.

@ibike2havefun buy a hammock tent? There's lots of brands. Hennessy, Haven etc.

A friend brought his over for me to test out. Finding suitable trees the right distance apart, that aren't directly over a poison ivy patch or on a steep slope, wasn't easy. And what I don't need, is another tent.

Morning Martin & All from mostly cloudy & wet, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 39F, up from 33F and going to 53F. We actually got snow last night! And we got .77" of rain too! Too bad it won't cure the drought. No breeze right now, but later the winds will be out of the WNW @ 7 to 8mph.

About the only thing I got done yesterday was to fix a bird feeder and fill them back up. Today, I don't expect mush more. My knee is giving me fits. But that's usually how it is when I over work it like I did with the greenhouse build. Once the weather gets better, I'll need to get back out there to finish it up.

Once Chris gets up, we'll get some breakfast. Pepsi(s) on for later.

Anyone :dr13:. have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Morning all! Wet and rainy here, 7C now, high of 10C later.

Took the cage into work today as my daughter asked for a ride home around when I would be leaving work. I don't have sufficient gear for her to ride on the back of the ST and given the weather, the cage won out. Also let me bring one of the dogs into work. Who, I suspect, is currently walking up and down the corridor looking to cage as many treats as she can. Her success rate is much higher than when I do it for some reason.....

Hope everyone has a great day!
