Motorcycle Pants For Porkers?

Just realize that even Kevlar lined jeans are still jeans. They won't offer anywhere near the abrasion protection of Cordura or leather riding pants, and have no padding or armor. They'll be better than dress slacks, though.
 
SHINDEN - I'm a 44x32 and have the Draggin Jeans in that size. But as Bob says, they're no substitute for good set of riding pants - mesh or regular (I like First Gear Air HTs). I've never 'tested' the Draggin Jeans and don't wear them any more. But I still do use their Draggin Shirt with Bohn body armour underneath. You can get Bohn body armour to wear under the Draggin jeans but you would need probably a size larger. The Draggin armour just velcroes to the kevlar and I have my doubts as to how well it would stay attached in a get-off. I had trouble with the velcro staying stuck to the armour.
 
Joe rocket makes man size freindly. If you not extra porky(un like myself) they also make a short model.
And i have tested their products in the past.....held up well.

I think given the cost/protection, something like the First Gear pants look promising on their website, I think something like that may be the best wat to go.

checked out the Motoport site, I do like what they have. But as a gal I would like them to look good too.

There has already been one thread today about slander, belittle and harass and now you bring this up?

Personally, I am very hurt to hear that you think a 44" pant fits the category of "Porker". My mommy always told me I was big boned and couldn't help it.

I have a pair of cheap over-pants in a hippo size. I normally wear 44 but I think these were ordered in a 4-XL just to get to the 44". Talk about giving you a complex!!! Unfortunately for me, I have conceded that I will never be able to wear anything comfortable in these big sizes. What's more, all the good and reasonable stuff doesn't come in my size.

As far as the "Riding Jeans", they're tempting for me to try but I fear they just won't have the protection needed while my precious 285lb. body is sliding along at 49 MPH. They do look good and I'm sure they are a lot more comfortable than bulky over-pants. OTOH they are probably better than plain jeans or shorts!!!
 
Custom made is the way to go even for "non porkers". I can thoroughly recomend the Tiger Angel crew here in Australia. Check out the Elemental Pants & Jacket. Not cheap, but last 10x longer than anything else plus you can just bung it in the washing machine and re-proof it. The added plus for you lucky US citizens is that you pick up about 30% on the exchange rate.

That is the beauty of motoport, they will make them jeans style, will change the pockets, reflective etc to sit your preference.
 
UPDATE

Purchased Olympia Airglide pants today, good fit for me, very comfortable, removable liner etc.

Liked the Olympia Airglide jacket, too; so I bought that as well:)

Dont feel bad. I haven't seen 42 since I was married in '77. 52 pants wuld be what I am look for. so if you find a good pair, let me know
