Put on your thinking caps...

:think1:

What do you project will be generally available features or attributes of new motorcycles that will be for sale 25 years from now?

For example, I think that frames will have to strengthen and lighten at the same time. We'll likely see carbon fiber composite frames and rims.

lol.. in 25 years... it will need to be a wheelchair.

Seriously though, carbon fibre and electric..

Same here, if I'm still around. I'm betting there will no longer be street-legal motorcycles powered by internal combustion. You'll only see that on the race track, if at all.

Guys, I'm not asking about your location in 25 years or whether you'll care in 25 years. I'm asking you to use your remaining faculties today :p: and project forward to features of motorcycles that you think will be the norm 25 years. ;)

.. voice activated commands and all info showing up on a Heads Up Display.

Don't worry everyone I'll come visit you and make sure I can get one with a side car so we can go for a spin. In all seriousness, I really think it'll be mostly electric with some Harley's and STs out there. I agree with what Don said. There might not even be such a thing as a street legal motorcycle that's internally combusted. Who knows, we may even have motorcycles that can fly by then.

Totally electric, magnetic/force field suspension, major ADV components because the roads will be in even worse shape....if we have roads at all...not to get negative....tires that last more than 10,000 miles and don't need TPMS because there's no air in them, unfortunately built-in GPS that not only tracks your exact movements, but speed also....ticket paid at the recharging station...black no longer available from Honda......just a few.......ff

In 25 years everyone will be in a protective bubble to prevent any chance of injury.

Random thoughts...

Will the motorcycles be mostly self-driven or will we still have autonomy to pilot them? Will the bikes be designed to ride along in car 'chains' (within a string of cars drafting each other, all in auto-pilot)?

Will we still be using bright headlights, or just marker lights? Will the bikes have nightvision and heads-up displays in our helmet (and likewise, nightvision in autos for them to see us)?

Will pie still be worth riding for?

Will bikes come with seatbelts and have crush zones or airbags?

By then the EPA and OSHA, and the NTSA will be too involved and motorcycles will have been Banned. If not, then we will all be riding around on a brick, wrapped in bubble wrap, But then again Bubble wrap will be outlawed because it is plastic. I don't think I need to worry about 25 years from now as I will be 90 years old and will be trying to get more Watts out of my Electric wheel chair.:D

By then you will be required to wear your motorcycle gear to ride around in your motorized wheel chair!

:rofl1:
