I am repairing a 2004 ST1300 for a friend that has been in storage for a couple years and ravaged by mice. This is the worst case I have seen.
I had to replace the injector harness and all the vacuum hoses. The fuel injectors have been checked and flow tested, they are good.
The FI light is giving me 9 short blinks, anyone have a list of codes for this where I can start trouble shooting? I can't find the info in my manual.
Here are the before and after picks of the TB compartment.

Code 9 is a loose or poor contact on IAT sensor, open or short circuit in IAT sensor wire or faulty IAT sensor per my book (03-05). Engine should operate normally if that's the only fault. The sensor is on the top cover of the air box. I think that connector is also part of the ignition sub harness but haven't confirmed; is it plugged in properly after the harness replacement?

Do you need the troubleshooting steps?

I don't have the airbox connected, that is probably the source of the code. I will look into this further.
