Probably fun on the Bonneville Salt Flats and maybe on a 50CC run from coast-to-coast (if I had diplomatic immunity!).

Enjoyed listening to the start-up. It sounds like something coming to life.

Jay Leno told a story about his Turbine bike. He said he was out riding it and came to a stop sign and was waiting on traffic t make a turn. A lady pulled up behind him in a Lexus and stopped very close to his bike. The exhaust from the turbine melted her front bumper and almost set it on fire..

It's the same engine as in the B206-B JetRanger which is derated to 317hp which is all the transmission can accept with a fuel burn of about 25 gallons per hour.

As a comparison, the bike with an extra 100hp available will probably burn 30-35 gph at full throttle and it gulps fuel at idle but I recall Leno saying something about cruising on the highway with the throttle barely cracked... but where's the fun in that?

That had better be a big fuel tank or at least tow a fuel bowser on a bike trailer for any trip past the local bike meet!
