My 2011 ST1300 PA former police bike

Its hard to tell from the angle of the picture, without seeing the switchgear and risers, but that almost looks like a civilian bike that may have been purchased for use by a police department or escort service etc.
Unless of course that someone did a really good job replacing the rear sub frame to convert it.
From the looks of your exhaust system, I'd say the bike is running a little hotter than in normally should, and your front wheel/axle is a little bit off.
Nice looking bike, welcome to the family.

Now see, I was asking questions slowly to get to that point without assuming anything :) So much for me being subtle and sleuthy. lol

Hi, it has the police rizer and switchgear, I bought it after it was converted to 2up. What are you seeing that looks wrong with the front axle? 20220601_112856.jpg20220601_112835.jpg

No disrespect was intended, several departments who are on tight budgets purchase plain civilian bikes and just add stickers, light switches, and accessories to build their motors.
This can often be cheaper than purchasing a Honda Police motor etc.

I love the Moby on the tank!
I see just a couple minor things (its the OCD in me) like the wrong bolt holding the fender on (cracking the mounting point), the axle not being seated properly (axle probably binding) your brake fluid sure looks like it could use a good flush/bleed etc. The fastener holding the fuel cap is the wrong one, and the spools on your front rotor look like they could use a good twist/clean job.
:rofl1: (no disrespect intended)
If you want to learn more about your bike, and how to get the most out of it, give me a shout, I'm as close as your phone.

Brake flush is on my short to-do list. I changed tires recently myself (well had them mounted after pulling wheels myself) and followed the manual on front axle reinstall, I think it's right. The crack on front fender is paint stone chip. What are you referring to about spools? When I got it, it had weird phone holder attached to gas cap, will replace bolts soon

No....the crack on the fender is because someone used a flanged bolt (wrong fastener) and has it rigid mounted (which may cause it to crack) and the rubber washer designed to allow flex in the mounting point, and the fastener is missing ;)
Following the manuals instructions on the front wheel install, was not what I was referring too, and will not correct the issue I'm pointing out.
The spools, are the floating buttons that hold the rotor to the rigid mount on the wheel. When they get dirty (brake dust) they bind, and can cause several issues, from brake issues, to handling issues etc.
Its a 10 minute job to fix that.

I'll check the spools, thanks. The crack on fender isn't a crack, it's a surface paint chip, no crack. Still concerned about the front axle now, can you tell me more please

I see the police crash bars aren't there, but seems the holes are there.
I'm on again / off again about liking the police-style guards up front. Lots of farkles and camera mounting options therein.
I DO like the black and white livery of the police ones, but they look grand in all white, to be sure.

Welcome from WA STate!!

And Igofar is an incredible resource. Extremely detailed, or as he calls it, OCD. You can believe everything he says to be true.
We all wish we lived closer to him .........

Nah, not really.
Some of us wish he lived closer to ME.
Oh how true. Everything near Tucson is trying to kill you. From the plants, to the spiders, the lizards, the wild boar like animals. And then there is the snakes............. :rofl1: ;)

Yeah, holes but no bars, might replace them if I can find for a good price, like to get rear bars too
