My Big Ride

Tuesday the 16th I drove to Glacier national Park on Hwy 2. Was a quit peaceful ride. Be sure to stop at Kootenia Falls on Hwy 2 near Troy Montana. I reserved a campsite on the eastside of the park planning on driving through the park only to find out the road through was closed midway. Ended up backtracking to the west entrance and taking Hwy 2 around the south end of the park. Even though it cost me more than a hour it was worth it because the road was a fun drive. One note. The St. Mary/ East Glacier KOA was the easily the worst campground of the trip. They had three different bathrooms. The one they directed me to use had tape across the door with the toilets laying on the ground outside. The second was a unisex bath/shower with the door locks broken.Didn't get to the third. The pool was full of teenagers that all clearly knew each other. It was very unlike all other KOA campgrounds I had been to.

Wednesday the 17th.
Explored the east side of Glacier park a little and then decided the trip had been long enough and headed home. After exploring I managed to get to nelson State Recreation Area to stay for the night.( 365 miles for the day) Camping was free and I found a nice spot next to the water. The 18th and 19th were long driving days of 603 miles and 589 miles to make it home. Will post a summary of the trip tomorrow. Thanks for reading.
