The 2026 Navy Blue Angels Pensacola Beach airshow is this weekend starting 7-17-26. Today is the regular "Breakfast with the Blues" exhibition flying passes. They use to day to "set the borders of the show box" but there was a pretty low pass today. I'm sure more will be said about this low pass. Blew lawn chairs and popup tents over on the beach. This happens often but today I think it was from jet blast and not the normal low plane wing turbulence (probably not, too late in pass).

I went to watch but turned around when the rolling traffic jam turned into a parking lot 2 miles from the beach. I've seen it several times before. Traffic is terrible during this event now and heck I get the entire airshow literally right over me on normal practice Tuesdays when I go bay fishing in my boat.

Low pass at 2:50 this video.

I've seen the Blue Angels show three times and one practice. My favorite two moves/formations are the Fleur-de-Lis and the Sneak Pass. The latter was flown right after the Fleur-de-Lis. One jet disappears and is forgotten as the remainder form up along with one or more of the other Hornets (now Super Hornets). Then a few minutes later the disappearing Hornet is back with Sierra Hotel low pass. It usually gets a lot of screams from the viewers. BIG fun.

One other move I really liked with an older Hornet was the Walk on Water move. Demonstrating the thrust of the Hornets' engines a pilot walking it across the SF marina in a near vertical attitude not very far above the water. That was awesome.

Yup, they got in trouuubblllleeeee! C'mon...this is America! If taxpayers and their families can't enjoy the rewards of overpaying for our military then what good is living here? I want my face melted off by a flyby on afterburner...if I'm gonna go I'm going out in style and a good story!

Saw them a few years ago. Would have loved to have been on that beach to see that flyover!!!!

Actually, Sec. Hegseth, posted on X, "The flyovers will continue until morale improves."

I wished I could have been there! LOL

General flight safety regulations and airshow safety rules are written in someone's blood. There should be accountability for violating them. It's not just a few chairs blown down the beach it could easily have been a large number of people killed and the loss of a 70 million dollar airplane.

Military planes sound so much better.
I'd say piston-engine military planes sound better than jets. I love the sound of a 12cyl Merlin in the morning. It sounds like— air superiority. The occasional jet streaking through the sky is cool and all but oh you Merlin.

Classic! Gotta love my guy, Pete! I’m not going to get my panties in a wad over a low pass. Just my humble opinion, of course.

I’ve been on the same bill as the Angels, Thunderbirds, and Snowbirds as a member of the Ft Lewis freefall demo para team. These are very special people, all of them, including ground crew. The best of the best. I salute and support them representing the best of America.
