The left storage pocket cover (pictured) on my '96 ST1100 bulges from air pressure when I ride. It looks as if it might fall the bike off at any moment. If anyone has found a fix for the loose cover, I'd appreciate your input.

Does it have all three tabs? The two centre ones have hooks and the rear one has a hook on the edge by the pull knob. If any of those are missing that could be an issue. You just may have to purchase a new one.

I'll check to see if any of the tabs are missing or worn. The metal stiffener on the underside of the cover is a good idea.

Thanks.

One of the vendors (don't remember who) here sold a replacement that was hard plastic. I was to be used to mount switches outlets or whatever.

Honda may still have them in stock. #22 on the parts "fish" about $20.

Is this cover made of vinyl or something similar. I remember my Vetter Windjammer III having some vinyl covers that snapped over the pockets. That fairing was a heavy beast but it made riding a lot more comfortable.

No this is a soft rubber. The windjammer III as you mentioned was of vinyl with dome snaps to hold it in place IRC

Ah got it. That EC bit looks pretty nice. At $10 I almost want to get one and I don't even own an 1100. :rofl1:

On my 95 I just added a daub of silicon to the tabs that were worn to create a tighter fit. Not permanent, I think I had to do the fix again in about 50 k miles
