Did you find an ECU? Does yours have the 25 or 26 fault? My 04 has the 25 fault...and I have just been riding it for several years and 20k miles. No other issues, other than slight decrease in power and gas mileage when the light comes on. Light only comes on over 70MPH. And I have ridden for hours on the interstate with the light on.
