I just saw on a Goldwing forum, a mention of a dealer in Monroe, TX that is selling a ”new” (3 miles) ST1300P for $7999. Saw the ad myself, with 2 available.

I believe that’s the lowest I’ve seen for a new bike. Yeah, I know, old fluid, old tires, but still a new bike.

dealer in Monroe, TX

I'm not interested in the bike, but I question "Monroe, TX" ... never heard of it, so had to look it up (being a native Texan and all) - two Monroe-s that are tiny unincorporated communities not near any metropolis, so a dealership doesn't make sense ... maybe Monroe, LA ??

My mistake, it’s Conroe, TX. Cycle Shack North.

Why wouldn't ya.
Wished it waz ere.

Sure they are advertising $7999 to get you in the door, but then they will hit you with about $4k work of dealer prep, assembly fees, tax, license, special handling fees, because its a police model fees, etc. :rofl1:
They seem to be popping up all over the place right now for between $10k and $12k

Used to go at the original shop back in the '70's. They sold Husky's and Pentons - we used to go in to drool over those bikes ... the original owner, Richard Sanders, passed away and I think his daughter now runs the Conroe shop.

I bought a my first new car 3 years ago to avoid working on cars for a while.
I seriously considered picking up a 2016P. 10,999 + 450 + 6.75% tax came to 12,900 something. Mysterious math.
Then I thought the first that thing I am going to do is overhaul the windshield mech since they are tight from the factory. Then change the subframe, the handlebars, check the dealer prep. All this and I pay a premium. I think a new bike is the way to go for some but I’d make it too much work for too much money.
If I really had the doe to spare though, a brand new white ST1300 would be nice.

Go for it!! Mine was $10,215.00 out the door. If I didn’t use a credit card it would have been about $400 cheaper. As for the extras it was just personal preference to make her a two up. No the fluids are not 4 years old ect... the battery was put under warranty so that’s a new one. It comes with a 3 year warranty and you can buy the extended so up to 8 years. Seems like a bargain.

I bought a 2016PA also $10,600 out the door. Just put 550 miles on it. Time to change the oil.
