Stopped by the local dealer this afternoon ya know just looking. Ya right. Ended up buying a new HJC FS-10. Will let ya'll know how I like it.

Is that the one with the built in sun shield? If so I'd be interested in your review. I've been looking at one for a couple months.

Yes it is the one with the internal sun shield. A buddy of mine and his brothers really liked their Symax IIs and my Nolan N-84 is over 3 years old and has fellen off the seat a couple times so what the heck.

Make sure the HJC FS 10 fits you well. I had bought 2 of them one for myself and one for my wife.

They fit us perfectly and were comfortable with one problem. We both felt like we were being strangled and chocked when we had the chin strap properly secured.

We are both slim in build with pretty average normal neck size so it was curious that we both felt the same.

As near as I can determine the mounting points for the chin strap are in the wrong location ,too far towards the rear on each side.

We never wore them except to try on in the house and ended returning them both to New Enough.

We have gone back to the tried and tested Shoei RF1000 which fit perfectly.

Too bad, that internal sunvisor would have been nice.

The IS16 is the newer version of the FS10 that is supposed to be a better
fit, if i could only find one in xxl around here i could tell you, because i am
looking for a replacement as well. Peter

Fellas. Its going to be awhile before I get to review my new helmet. I got a herniated disk at L3-4, i.e. major pain down left leg. Am having surgery Aug 20 and doc says no riding for 6 weeks.

Finally got to do some riding with the FS-10. It fits my noggin well enough, no problems back and forth to work. I like the internal sunshield but wish it would come down lower. The edge is really in my field of vision a bit too much, but I can live with it. I love the pinlock shield I got for it but likewise when you using a pinlock and the internal sun visor there are two edges in your peripheral vision. I would buy one again.

Finally got to do some more riding with the FS-10. I have noticed that a lot of air blows up from under the helmet and across my face in side winds. It can get pretty annoying when its blowing right across your eye. Have to work on something to plug the holes on either side of the chin spoiler.

It doesn't vent worth a damn in my opinion.
I've had mine for about a two-ish years now.
Looking for a better vented replacement.
Liked it because it was the only one at the time (for a reasonable price) with the internal sunshield.

I happen to love my G-Max GM44S in Dark Metallic Silver, it matches my bike!
