Honda is introducing a new automatic clutch mechanism for standard clutch models. It can be easily adaptable to many different models in the future. It basically is a clutch mechanism that is computer controlled and it has a standard override clutch lever if you want to use the clutch manually.

I checked the date of the post.... then read it.... if genuine, okay I'm a cynic, it would be an improvement on the DCT as it would allow greater control at low speed than the DCT gives.

Looks interesting but the reason I have a DCT bike is because I have neuropathy in feet/lower limbs. Clutch isn't the problem, feeling the gearshift lever is! My interpretation was that this doesn't do the gear changes. At least DCT lets you change gear semi-manually with the "flappy paddles".

If the ST1300 could be converted to work like the DCT, I'd be all over it!
