just received one and apparently the stateside model is to be sold with one major difference . That extra large venting that is suppose to make this a great helmet for warm weather riding has been removed ---my guess is it wouldn't pass DOT with it ????? Anyway I'm still trying to decide if I'll keep it or send it back . I ordered from Helmetexpress and the pics on their website show the helmet with the venting. Just kinda feel like thats false advertising . Even states that it has it in the description text.

I started to order from them a couple of months ago thinking that the DOT version wouldn't be any different and so decided to wait. I wouldn't be worried about it if helmet express had just put a notice or something saying that it didn't have the extra venting on their web site.

I like it just as much as my Shoei RF1000. The internal shape is almost the same. I was not able to wear other models of the Nolan line because of internal shape, but this one is different. The helmet works as advertised as far as moving a lot of air. Have not had it in any real hot weather yet but it moves more air than my Shoei, so it has to be cooler.

took my first ride with this helmet today so I guess I'm keeping it . One thing I don't like is the closeness of the bottom of the chin bar. I do like that I can look at the gauges just by moving my eyes instead of moving my head to look down. the shield is either closed or open so you can't just "crack" it open. It's very light and I noticed alot less head bobble ( none actually ) than what I get with my Scorpion however it is louder than the scorpion. The internal visor is excellent in form and function.

Sent it back for following reasons.
#1 the shield is either open or closed no indents so you can just "crack" it open.
#2 Couldn't lick my lips without licking the inside of the chin bar too.
#3 as I stated before NO top venting system
#4 I wanted the J & M system but when I called them I was told that this helmet needs and entirely new designed unit and that they are working on it but the closet time frame they could give was " Some time next year "
