New under mirror light brackets

Nice work and pics! So 5" lights will fit with the Seng mounts but that extra clearance will be appreciated.

5" lights will fit with the Seng's but you have to "widen" the hole on the bracket that comes with the lights to push them out enough to clear the fairing. That only gave me about an 1/8 inch clearance and it was hard to even get a wash rag through! You also have to remove the lights if you want to take the fairing off. I believe I will be able to remove the fairing now without taking off the lights with these new mounts.

Like ST11Ray mentioned above, these have worked out very well. I did have to ream the bracket mounting hole a bit until I could get the bolt to attach to the frame. This is light brand dependent but I also had to enlarge the light mounting hole. Both were pretty easy since it aluminum.

Looks good. Are you having any noticable vibration or shaking with them? I imagine they are rock solid like mine.

No, they are absolutely free of any vibration or shake. This journey has been a success and I can only thank you for volunteering your original brackets and the legwork that you have done. I feel much better about my upcoming CC50 in April. Now I have to dial them in as far as left/right & up/down.

Those big lights look great. Reminds me of a UH-1!

Any chance on having more of these brackets made up?

I can ask the shop that made them if he will make another set. Don’t know what he would charge for just 1 set but he already has the program in his computer so it might not be much more. Or I can send you all of his information and you can speak with him If you would rather do that. It could be a couple of weeks before I get back down around his shop.

If you get a chance to ask him that would be great. I'm in no hurry for them. Probably wouldn't mount them until late in the year anyways.
thanks

How are the larger lights controlled? High beam switch or a separate switch.

Watching this with interest.

I'd be interested in a set of brackets, but also not in a rush.

It wouldn't be much more involved to wire them to come on with the high beams say – and have a switch to allow separate control in case of a localized system failure. Options are good.

Looks like there's enough interest to run
another batch of 5.
They look good.
I cld. use a set. Thanks
