Well, it took a call to Mac to get'er done, but I got'er done:
I had the towns crossed and spent a half hour looking for the coffee shop in Truth Or Consequences.
There's lots of potential Tags in New Mexico. For instance, the motel I stayed in Saturday night:
Or the Very Large Array antennas:
How about the Continental Divide?
Nah, too conventional.
My original intent was to tag Pie Town (the spiritual heart of st-owners). Got a photo of both pie shops
but both were locked up tight. This is my third trip to Pie Town in the last year and I've never found'em open.
My foot prints were the only ones in the fresh snow.
No car tracks in either lot, too. So, I decided they no longer deserve our respect, or our tag.
Moving right along, could tag the restaurant I _finally_ found open in Quemado:
Finally (yeah, we're nearly there) I decided to go right to the edge. The sign is in Arizona but the bike and the foreground are in New Mexico. Tag THIS!
This pic shows the stone state-line marker off the north side of the road:
All the other pics should be hint enuff of where these pics were taken. Now, all ya gotta do is get there before the next snow storm hits.

You'd obviously have to be looking west in the first picture (if your bike is indeed on NM property), which would suggest north is to the right side. But, given the orientation of your bike, and how it appears in the second picture, it would suggest that the granite marker is on the other side of the road - the south side.
Am I correct, or am I confused?
(99% sure I know where this is, but I won't be in NM for a couple of weeks - this one will probably be tagged by then)

I am really sorry I didn't get to Mora. Shuey told a bit about the place this morning. He also confirmed that the Owl Cafe was the one on Eubank in Albuquerque. Since it is on the way to AR, I took it upon myself to move it a bit farther from CO. The town my tag is in is like a lot of the Route 66 towns that are slowly turning into Ghost Towns. It really is sad to see them go to dilapitation.

What a great day for a ride. I have to apologize for the pic quality as my battery for my camera died and I didn't have the charger so I had to resort to using my pos cheap cell phone. The new tag photo blows for clarity of the bldg so I am adding a pic of the bldgs. sign from an internet photo. Hope the TAG Gods will forgive.

I rode down to Albuquerque from Taos today. Beautiful ride along the Rio Grande just south of Taos, and a chance to try out the BT023s at speed between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Caught a small thunderstorm on the way back, but dried out before I got back.

And two choices for the new one. Wasn't sure if Bonnie's grave has been up in the past year, so including an alternate.
This one might look tuff, but not. Just up the road (invisible in the pic) is a "Mile Marker 32" sign. Does that help? It's soutbound on NM-20. You take it from there. LOTS of Eastern NM looks like this, so thought it appropriate.
As with most other multi-tags, either or both will get ya the tag. Have fun.

I never worked on that one, but I worked on a bunch of'em at Hulman Field in Terre Haute, IN while in the IN Air Guard in 71/72/73.
This new tag should be easy to find.

New one is catty-corner in the North East. Might be a good one for someone heading to get the CO tag which is not too far north....
