Good morning all

In honor of Norway's national day, I've made coffee for @STooRay and @increasing but don't worry, there's plenty for everyone else, too.

It's 61°F and sunny in Rockville, going to 89 and sunny later. Woo hoo! I can FINALLY spend a day without needing to wear a fleece sweater and a beanie to keep warm. Then again: after a high of 93 on Wednesday the high on Friday is forecast to be... 55. :(

I'll have brunch with a young woman who's part of the local Japanese American Citizen's League chapter, then we'll go together to play some ukulele at the Archie Edwards Uke Jam in Hyattsville, MD.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee, Keith.

It's 55 and sunny in MA this morning, rising to around 85, later.

Yesterday's birthday party went off well, and both birthday people enjoyed the family and friends who showed up. Our daughter and SIL showed up from upstate NY,which was a pleasant surprise.

Today , we've got a lawn to mow, among other things. Brenda was saying that she'll mow, so I'll find something else to do.
Dinner will be out somewhere , l guess .

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Gratulerer med dagen!

Norway Day, No Way!

It's Norway Day here too! We just don't celebrate it usually. No one has a bunad.

I'd be amiss though not to say thanks for the coffee Keith, and I'll gift my cup to those brave Norwegians who made this day possible. I"m sure there'll be more champagne breakfasts than coffee.

Currently an overcast 12 headed to a mostly sunny 22. I have someone coming this morning to pickup my & Mrs. O's old Cardo comms set. Once we bough our new Neotec helmets, we switched to integrated comms (Sena) so the Cardo's have just been sitting taking up space. Time to convert them back to cash.

Hope everyone has a great day and finds a new home for old stuff, in exchange for some type of reward - be it green or personal.

Obo.

Oat milk people act like they discovered coffee personally.
Relax Emily, you only added bean water to some leaf juice... :coffee:

enjoy your Sunday 😎

Switching from dairy, I prefer soy milk over oat. I fairness I've never tried almond, coconut or rice milk.

Hope you guys have a great trip! No repeats of last year!!

I first switched from dairy to soy. Had a brief flirtation with almond but decided I didn't like the thought of the environmental impact of almond growing (they're very thirsty trees, but grown in the semi-arid climate of SoCal so they required load of irrigation to be commercially successful; SoCal already diverts so much water from the Rockies that the Colorado River no longer reaches even to Mexico, much less its historical terminus at the Gulf of California) then switched to oat.

I forget why I favored oat over soy, but there it is. Oh, I think maybe it was because the soy milk available in my grocery store was playing the shrinkflation game: what had been a half gallon carton became a smaller quantity in a visibly smaller carton, where the oat milk was (at the time) still a full gallon.

In the time since the switch the oat milk too has changed size but by now I've become stuck in my habit.

Maybe I should go back to real moo juice, which I believe is still sold in full gallon size.

God morgen, everyone, thanks for the coffee, Keith, and Happy National/Constitution Day, Norge!

Spring has well and truly (and finally) sprung here. Some trees are still in bud stage, but most are almost in full leaf, the magnolias are in full bloom and there are lots of pretty flowers popping up. It's lovely to see! We had a spectacular, brilliantly sunny and warm day yesterday, and it looks like today is shaping up to be another gorgeous one. Not quite as warm as yesterday, but absolutely perfect for me. The current temperature of 16°C/61°F will rise to 22°C/72°F and we'll have plenty of sunshine with a few fluffy clouds thrown in for effect.

@steve3b3: Glad you enjoyed the bday party and the surprise visit from your daughter and SIL!
@ST1100Y: Safe travels to you and ze GF.

Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

G'mornin' from SoMD! Well, it is now. Once again, Princess #2 tried to goad me into letting her out at 0530, but I gave a firm "no!" and she shut up. And yes there was the possibility of me waking up with my foot in her retort. But thankfully, I did not. 0705 clicked over and it was feeding time for all. That done, I settled in for some toast and coffee, thank you Keith!

This morning I get to go gut an old juke box to be used for an upcoming show. It is old, rusted, inoperative, and the keys we have to get in don't even work. So, the plan is to drill the lock and remove the heavy innards so it'll be light enough to move around on stage: disc holder, speaker, etc. Really won't know until I get in there. Should be fun.

Yesterday, the ST got some lovin' with fresh oil and clean air filter, lubed the hinge points and locks, and some spray polish. I still think Honda's spray cleaner and polish is just right. I can't think of the last time I turned a hose on it. Yeah, underneath the plastic it gets dusty and some grime, but overall I hardly have to touch it. Mainly spritz the windscreen to remove bug juice.

Oh and I switched to almond milk only bc it stays longer than regular moo juice. For how little I use (the wife doesn't drink any milk), I hated paying for a mere quart only for it to spoil within a week. I can keep a half gallon carton for weeks and it is fine...for me at least.

Time to get going. Take care y'all!

Good Morning, happy Norwegian day. Church is on the agenda, get to ride as Wife will meet me there, she stayed at Daughters over night to Watch the Granddaughters. Spent yesterday riding with a buddy that I had Sold my 81 Silverwing too, pleased that my creation still runs, in Zoltans hands it moves out, surprisingly quick. Helps that it has a CX650E engine in it. What is this Additive you are talking about in Coffee? Oh yeah Thanks G

Morning Keith & All from overcast, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 56F, up from 42F and heading for 71F, with *possible* rain, later. No breeze yet, later the winds will be out of the WSW@ 27 to 37 mph.

We've had rain all around us, and we even got a few drops yesterday. But no where near enough to even measure! :well1:

Martin, hope you guys have a great ride! :hat3:
Brian, hoping your travels will be good!

With the winds we had yesterday, I decided to just stay indoors. Today, with the exception of church, I'll be doing the same.

Chris made a great suggestion for where to plant, the new tree we bought, a Japanese Maple "Red Dragon". So I will be adding it to the corner of the new planter I built. :thumb:

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
