My new phone demands updates...
The TV requires a password...
I'm having coffee...
at least that still works at a the simple push of a button... :coffee:

G'Day...

4°/7°C @ 75% RH, gray, damp, overcast, chances of drizzle... yuck... 🌫️

the Nespresso maker working overtime... ☕☕

ze GF at the office...
dishwasher gushing, bread-maker rumbling...
later some workers will drop by to finish the bottom paneling of the sliding glass doors on the terrace...
(the visiting sales weasel had obviously forgotten about the drainage slope... 🤨)

Yesterday's run to pick up that Sony MiniDisk player was successful, despite the traffic gridlock we made it in time...
My friend is happy with the obtained MDS-JB920 QS, 25 years old and looks like brand new... (his unit suffers a failing display...)

Successfully cleared the irrigation and water lines in the garden yesterday...
The tiny portable compressor set (designed for carpenters and roofers), originally gifted to the GF to inflate car and
wheelbarrow tires, does its job; only had to replace that cheap plastic spiral hose with a proper commercial one...

The first founds from eBay sales seep in... (hidden menus to enter my shipment numbers, otherwise they cling on it...)

Its only Tuesday, that week already takes like forever...
But realizing I don't even have a job to be late for I'm off for another cup... :coffee::cool:

Thx Martin!

9˚c/48f is todays high, sunny, calm.

I could do a lot of things today, but someone is bothering me, so there’s that…they really don’t know they’ve just poked the bear.

But yesterday was fine, with a solid ride on backroads.

Have a better one!
Stu

From yesterdays ride……Gjerdesdalsvatnet, pronounce it fast five times.

Morning, guys, and thanks for the wake up.
Amazing how easy it is to get up in the morning... when one has had sufficient rest.
Walking X miles, stooping and bending over to set out cones and pick them up again, walking from demo point to demo point, and repeating this all throughout the day, takes a physical toll on a body, even if one is accustomed to it -- which after several years away, mine surely is not.
Nonetheless, my range exercises and the classroom teaching is going well, but it's very difficult to keep my mouth shut when I see coach candidates riding a demo completely wrong, or telling the class something that is opposite from what I know.
But we have two excellent trainers to catch those and correct the mistakes -- plus, we're still very early in the process, and we will all do this several more times before the week is through.
I'm enjoying it.
Saturday and Sunday we will teach an actual class of new riders under the close supervision of our MSF trainers. They'll divvy up the range assignments among our RiderCoach candidates.
I need to get some breakfast, take a shower, feed the critters, take Kaiser for a potty walk, go vote at 7 o'clock, and get back to the range.
Another busy day, more learning, more walking, more setting out cones and picking them up, and do it all again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.
Then again Saturday and Sunday with a live class.
It's all good.
A well-prepared MSF RiderCoach is not really made.
Let's get to it.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 45f, rising to 72f with continuing clear skies.

Yesterdays Club day went off well, and we had customers right until our 4:00pm close.
Unfortunately, we ran late enough that I missed our son and grandson, who had to return home to prepare supper for D-I-L and granddaughter.
He had a nice visit with Brenda, though, and left some things at our house that we'll need when our grandson stays at the end of the week.
Last night, the other grands texted us to set up a meeting with the two grandkid on Sunday, so they don't miss each other too much.

Today, I'll head out to vote, the gym, and maybe a dog walk, in whatever order seems natural.
Today is also our First Tuesday meet-up with my former coworkers.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the start, Martin.

It's 43°F and sunny once again in Rockville. after a mostly cloudy Monday that really felt like a November day. The gray skies weakened the light, which in turn muted the intensity of the colorful leaves on the trees around the goof course. Ah well. The prospects of full sun and a high of 74 make today seem glorious, once again.

Amazing how easy it is to get up in the morning... when one has had sufficient rest.

I had a nap late yesterday afternoon, went to bed around 1930, and stayed in bed until 0630. My health tracking ring says I got plenty of sleep, and that it was of the restful and restorative variety. Still, for all that, I don't feel especially well-rested.

A special shout out to @Upt' North / @He's Watching / Ray. Why? Why not.

Has anyone told him that he's welcome to return? I hope so; like many others here I've missed his cheeky, irrepressible banter.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, all. Thanks, Martin.

55/75, with afternoon rain. Windy. 15 MPH, 30 MPH gusts, all day long. That’ll take care of the rest of the leaves that are hanging on.

Yesterday, in the waiting room, everyone was sharing where they were from. When I said Theta, I was told there was another man from Theta that had been treated there. But “He died last week.” What a way to start the morning. I had seen his obit in the local paper and didn’t know him. :) It seems the Easy Bake also acts as a Teleporter.

Up reasonably early this morning as chief of staff was off to her exercise class. Jumped on the solo for a quick blip into Cheltenham for a coffee and to buy a new frying/cooking pan (not for me I hasten to add!), had to take it out of the box to get it into my topbox but it got home safely;). Weather here is cool but pleasant. We had a nice cross country 200 mile ride last Thursday to a unique Iron Museum near Shrewsbury https://www.britishironworkcentre.co.uk If you are UK based, or touring here, it's well worth a visit.

From yesterdays ride……Gjerdesdalsvatnet, pronounce it fast five times.

I can recall having been along that road once of twice during our time in Norway. We were guided along many such roads by our friend Arvid Lovik who sadly passed away last year. As we are off skiing to Geilo late January we are planning to return via Stavanger and go and see Arvid's long time samboer with whom we have remained in contact. That'll mean another winter drive across the Hardangervidda; last time we did that was December 2001 and it was cold!

Well I’m back, and totally devastated. The treatment was horrendous. Very rude and wouldn’t help with the procedure. I mean, when did windshield wipers get to $60 a pair, with no offer to install.

Stopped and voted on the way home. Paper ballot, for a change.

Does anyone know if gun stores are closed on Election Day?

@Nashcat Talk about motivational speeches. Guess some waiting rooms are like some hot dogs - full of lips and arseholes.

I don’t think he ever considered the effect on everyone in the waiting room. It only bothered me because I thought he might have been a neighbor.

Where’s Ray?

Morning all! Grey and overcast here. 7C now, 12C later.

Picked up our daughter and her boyfriend this morning from the airport. They finally managed to make it back after their ordeal of trying to get out of Edmonton post ice fog shut down of the airport on Sunday. Am now ensconced in the home office instead of trekking into work. Which is kind of too bad as it means no ride in. My new pinlock equipped visor arrived yesterday and I am looking forward to trying it out.

Best of luck to our neighbours to the south with voting and all!

Hope everyone has a great day and may some rays of sunshine or other variety enter your life!
