Ok, I'm confused. One for the purists.

My St1300 is ..
2002 , European (Portugal from new)
NONE ABS
and has an electric screen, but not as we know it.

I've had this bike to bits and the screen switch is NOT integrated in the left handlebar cluster. It is a separate toggle switch under the left cluster.
.
The screen operating system has the traditional cable/motor/ U shaped rails found in the headlight cowl.
.
It does not have limiter switches.
.
My question is :- is this a 1st generation Honda system that everyone has forgotten, or an aftermarket fitment?

In the U.S. the 2003 came in 2 versions - non abs / no elec shield and abs / with elec shield.

That is definitely aftermarket or DIY.

Someone put the electric windshield on then used a basic toggle switch because it was easy.
Might be good to change over to the oem switch pod with the windshield switch. And get limit switches hooked up.
