OK What's the latest hot setup for a standard style battery?

It seems cross-country riding should be easier on a battery, because of the lower starts-to-ride-time ratio.

But, yeah, finding out the hard way sucks when you're on the road.

... This past was the second winter it sat under cover outdoors for about three months, and it started right up as if it had been ridden the day before.
I would at least disconnect the negative terminal or pull the clock fuse at least.

Didn't do either. I'm too lazy, or trusting. It's one or the other.

I'd rather test the reliability the way I naturally am, than be so vigilant that I never really know.
