Another fond memory - I used to play with these Jetex solid fuel rocket motors. I put them on all kinds of things from model airplanes to small cars. They ran on solid fuel tablets and fuse cord purchased at the hobby shop. Hours of flammable fun!!

Large firecracker laid in a sidewalk crack, place an empty Campbell soup can upside down over it. Balouie! Straight up!

I remember when our neighbor got one of the first Color TVs. Everyone came over to see it. I still remember tuning the color adjustments to get the picture right. Everyone was yelling - "everybody looks green". They looked fine to me but little did they know that I was color blind.

I watched a new show on the History Channel last week, featuring Henry Winkler as the host. The title was Hazardous History. He featured some of the most hazardous toys of our childhood. The #1 was Jarts (lawn darts), while the #2 most dangerous was the Gilbert U-238 Atomic Energy Lab, which included actual radioactive ore samples for the experiments.
