"... behave or go into the basement and play with something toxic..."

How many of us in high skool chemistry class discovered the magic of mercury, dropped some on the counter and it dispersed in little balls everywhere, then we picked it up..... coated coins with it, and jeez I don't remember any of us wearing rubber gloves at the time..... well, later when we dug out the hydrochloric acid and postassium... fun times.

Diet Coke...
making people feel better about ordering two Big Macs, large fries and the obligatory apple pie since 1982... :mcd1:

(I for one cannot stand that chemical taste in the back of my throat, I can barely bear their Zero, and that only if its really cold and with a meal...)

Here in Europe, sugar (sucrose) is still used to sweeten Cola (Coca-Cola), not that high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) common in the US...

What I do miss dearly is Coca-Cola Life, despite Stevia as alternative low calorie sweetener, it tasted exactly like Classic Coke...
They pulled it over claiming receding reception by the clientele, but methinks it was purely pressure by the share holders...
