Yes! My father had a Rotel? turntable with the rows of metal dots around the outside. You "tuned" the speed until the dots appear stationary.
This is what my son's turntable looks like. No 16 but it does do 78.
And it has the strobe dots for fine tuning.
I still have one. It is a Pioneer. My son asked us if we had heard of a new song by Santana. I told him about Woodstock- he was sure it was a different guy. I put the LP on and he left the room. Oh by the way, do I need to explain Woodstock?
