Pan Gathering Scotland 2027

Hello I'd be interested in this anymore information? Were u stay is they planned rides etc ? Thanks

The official web-site should be open soon for booking. I believe the event will be over three nights at the Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry.

Is there a source for bike rentals in Scotland?
Mike - I'm looking at that and ones in London.
London is easier to fly into (and usually better deals) and it's only about 400 miles or so south.

I was thinking Edinburgh might be the place to fly into and I see your point regarding price and availability. Flying into London would also get one the bonus of riding across the country.

Mike - There is a rental place in London that has Honda 750NCX(?)s for rent with saddlebags and top boxes.
I am currently in communication with them and will let you know how it sorts out.
The ride from London to Scotland is not bad, having done it more than once.
However, getting out of London can be a bit 'interesting'! ;)

Another one you may wish to consider.... at least you'd be on a Pan at a Pan meet :D

... but not in London.
Just like every other major settlement:

masses of traffic, a gazillion of roadwork sites, roadblocks, flipped one-ways, congestions and gridlock wherever you go...
(and no, they don't sign out detours over there, you're on your own...)

Just boot up that satnav and get out ASAP... ;)

But I enjoy to see things start moving here.
Also ze GF has started to sketch out routes for arrival and departure in Garmin MapSource...
3~4 days across Europe to get to the channel, 1~2 days to head up north... repeat the whole shebang for getting back home...
Methinks a 3 week vacation is in order... and that I'll have to motivate her a bit more...

Hmmmm, I'm probably going to be over there near then. I'm doing a trip with SWMBO of a week in Ireland and then a week in Scotland. I got permission to stay an extra week as I want to ride the NC500 route on a rental m/c. Who knows - the timing might work out to include this as well.
