Good morning!
Coffee is ready here in the cabin.
Boiled eggs too, bread and blackcurrant jam, help yourselves.

16˚c/61f, overcast, showers, 20 mph wind from south.
It’s so quiet here!

Yesterdays fishing was nice, but only small pollocks got caught ( and released).

Today we’re planning a walk through a forest, and then to a local market.
We will stay here till tomorrow I believe.

18 and foggy here, headed to another heat warning of 36. Maybe rain too. That might also help with the mugginess that's be accompanying the heat.

Today's a pack day for WoodSToc. Looks like it might be a wet week. Oh well, free bike wash.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Stu. Enjoy your walk.

It's 72°F in Rockville, and clear. For the moment there's no threat of rain today but in Washington in August that's always subject to abrupt change. The high will be around 92.

Yesterday I drove out to a resort in the Shenandoah Valley, checking whether it might be suitable for a large family reunion two years from now. Maybe. In order to be able to look inside any of the units I had to book a future three day, two night stay and agree to waste spend 90 minutes suffering through hearing a sales pitch about the wonders of ownership, but at $129 it's a small price. When we go back it'll be an opportunity for Mrs Fun to take a break, which she'll be needing after recent events.

In the evening I headed over to the local hotel, where many out-of-town attendees of the local ukulele festival and workshop are staying. A few of them gather in the hotel bar each evening for a jam session, and I wanted to sit in. It was fun even though, or perhaps because, they're all way more skilled players than me.

No idea what I'll do today.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

It's 67 and mostly sunny, rising to 87 with even more sun, later.

Yesterday, we headed over to the range, where we found a line at least 10 deep waiting to buy firearms and such. Fortunately, there was another line that was much shorter for other items.. I bought the ammo that I'd stopped by for, and we continued on.

As we were driving to the range, we had contacted our son to see if they were up for a visit They were, so we stopped by for a few hours.
Our granddaughter Elouise wasn't feeling to well, so we left before dinner and dined at our local Mexican restaurant.
We left with some garden goodies, and will see Joe and family on Monday

Today, I'll head over to the track in Thompson for a car Club event.
Dinner at our favorite Chinese/Japanese restaurant.

Well, look at all the early birds up today for coffee.
Did you sent everyone an alarm clock Stu, or did they just smell the coffee and jam across the big water?
Thanks for starting the pot.
Today is uncertain, as Roz spent all day nauseated yesterday. Don't know why, but it wasn't me, I'm sure.
Finally went to the doc-in-the-box late in the afternoon, and an x-ray makes the doctor believe she has pancreatitus and is likely dehydrated.
She couldn't keep anything down, so she got a shot of Zofran for the nausea. Suggested she may want to go to the ER for an IV.
We declined, opting to see if the Zofran would work, and I bought her some low-sugar Gatorade.
We'll see how it goes today.
Got a lot done disconnecting the old radiator yesterday, but didn't finish due to the heat and the unanticipated doctor visit.
Still have to remove the the two ATF hoses and the two coolant hoses and the temperature sensor, that last one is hard to get to.
Skies are sunny and bright now, but storms are predicted for later.
We all will have storms in our lives.
This would be a good time to get back on the car, while it's still cool... but first, check on my patient, and then... REFILL.
Priorities, doncha know.

Morning Stu & All from mostly (for now), sunny Southern Utah!

Currently it is 82F, heading for 94F. The winds are already blowing from the SSW @ 7, but later, they'll be from the WSW @ 14 to 17mph.

Yesterday I got a message from my friend that we pulled the front tire off the rim of a GW Trike, that he got his new tire. So I grabbed the tractor and moved the tire machine and parts to the garage so we could do it. I used the zip tie method to put the tire on and it worked great, right up until I realized the tire was going the wrong way for the trike. (What happens when you got two people, working on the same problem! ) So we pulled it back off the rim and put it on the correct way. And of course, while we were doing that, the Thunderstorms rolled in and got the ground good and wet, so I couldn't put the tire machine and parts back in the tractor shed, nor put the tractor away. At least the tractor got a good washing it has needed for over a year.

If the ground dries up enough before the next downpour, I'll get things back out there today.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ for the morning start. Pepsi(s) for later.

Sadly we're not coming up that far. We're only doing Digby to Kentville, then back.

The Advocate loop (Amherst - Advocate Harbour - Glenholme - Wentworth - Fox Harbour - Tidnish - Amherst) up your way is a great ride.
I had posted 209 as a pre-WoodSToc option, keeping to the coast, heading toward Digby.

Good evening, too many distractions, wife home from baby sitting Granddaughters. She bought (used) another TV and has spent all afternoon trying to get it to work. Did manage to get to Church on the bike, weather was perfect for riding, Sunny and 70 F. Well hopefully tomorrow morning will be a little more calmer than lately. G
