Spent some quality time in the garage today replacing STat's fork seals. I knew from the work we did on Steve Gray's bike that the split piece of 1.5" ABS that had worked well on my '93 ST1100 to drive the seals home, was sub-optimal for the ST13's fatter fork tubes. I found a great way to drive the seals and I didn't even have to fabricate or buy anything. Turns out an 1.5" ABS coupler from your local plumbing supply and a length of 2" ABS pipe work perfectly. The 1.5" coupler is exactly the same diameter as the ST's fork seal. Tap, Tap, Tap and I was done, no muss no fuss. This was so easy and worked so well. I had to share:

Note the seal, coupler and pipe, left to right respectively.

How timely... I was planning on replacing one of my weeping seals tomorrow. Thanks Jeff!!! :bow1:

How sweet is that! Thanks for sharing, Jeff. I too love these simple solutions. Especially when they work. ;)

May or may not work on the 43mm ST1100 ABS forks, the 13 has 45mm forks. Let me know if it works George.
