I want to be as clear as possible for my application so not to get everyone trying to talk about other aspects of the bike.
I look at Ducati and Aprilia v4 motorcycles as well as others with more powerful engines. The goldwing is able to put out up to 300hp with a turbo and minor mods without changing the internals in it. Other bikes like a BMW k1200rs can do the same.
If the st1300 was designed for uta maximum HP and torque, it would be the first from Honda.
I have an opel gt that is a 87hp 110ft/lbs torque 2000lbs car. With a different drivetrain and other mods to lighten it, it will be closer to 1500-1600lbs. Many legend race cars use the CBR, r1, and originally the fj1200 that made them fast and fun to drive.
I can get an RSV4 motor that has plenty of power stock from the engine but would be very expensive to maintain and hard to modify for a turbo. Everyone is thinking why not go for a Hayabusa? Yes I can but the v4 has much more low end torque and with a turbo or supercharger, I believe it would give me the acceleration I want more then HP that I cant use as a daily driver on public roads.
I want the fuel economy of a small engine in a light car when I'm taking it easy. I also want HP and torque if I ever decide to take in drifting or racing a big brother Corvette once or twice, but probably not.
I believe the Honda motor has the potential like other Honda motors in motorcycles and in cars. They have always been overbuilt with the ability to double and sometimes triple the power before emissions gets through with them.
If anyone agrees and can give me some advice or point me to anything that will help me modify the ENGINE for better performance in a car swap, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks
