Hello All.

I?m new here. Just made the jump from a 1991 Concours to my new 2005 ST1300A on new years eve. Say, although I like the look of the ST1300 I have to admit I bought it more for its ?State of the art? technology. I am considering having it pinstriped to ?Personalize? it a bit. Anyone have some experiences with this. I?m looking for photos I can use.

Best Regards

Bob:)

Welcome to the board and to the world of ST's. I considered pinstripping also, but never actually did it. I couldn't design anything I was very happy with. But, good luck with your search for ideas.

Good thread. There used to be a canadian bike that had classy stripes and looked great.

One of my pilot friends had his plane painted, for a month before he contracted the paint job he photoshopped his plane until he found just the right design, color combination and layout.
I think this might be the way to go if you need some any kind of personalization...

Mine was pinstriped

before I got it. The first owner had it done by hand at a honda rally... no stickers, painted on. Nothing very special, but a classy little add on.

I have pictures of it on my other computer from when I bought the bike. I'm happy to send em via email to whoever wants. It's a 93 ST1100.

Check em out

Pinstripes over the ST1100 logo, around the saddle, and on the hard cases.

My only complaint is that I scratched a saddlebag, and fixing it now is going to be very pricey. So much so, that I'm considering a cool bumper sticker and calling it a day:eek:

Enjoy!

Tim

Pin striping

I have seen all types of pin striping. Some good some horrific. If your going to keep the bike forever and never ever sell or trade the bike, than pin stripe away.

Just remember what you may think is an awesome pin stripe on your beauty, may keep another potential buyer looking for another bike. I was recently a buyer and saw an ST with a pin stripe that the owner was proud of. I did not care for the pin stipe at all and went on to purchase another bike that was stock. No holds barred here just the real deal. I would highly reccomend you keep it stock unless you plan to keep it forever. Welcome to the ST1300 world. Its a great place to be!
