Removed the plastic steering cover...like it better. The 3 pieces were not going together...did not look good.
Thinking of mounting something on the bracket or maybe put a nice flag or emblem on it.....
Ah yes, a fellow intellectual. My handle bar cover was fully functional and fitted... I still hated it.
I haven't done anything with my four bolt holes yet. If you think of something good, do let me know
My first year ST's cover bothered me from day one. Tacky in the extreme. IMO the worst genetic legacy from the Pacific Coast that preceded it.
I lived like you for a season or two then went and painted the triple clamp and bar mounts black, and then finished it with a pair of fork caps from a 750 Nighthawk, 51449-MS2-003.
Looks better than factory IMO.
After my fork sliders got too chipped and pitted for my liking, I used VHT Roll Bar & Chassis paint with great results on the forks and triple clamp.
