I was hoping the Plugphones would be a nice affordable backup/alternative to the S-Plugs that I like so much.
For me, that is not the case unfortunately.
The actual base/driver area is still a bit large as I have small ear canals, which helps when you don't want to hear what people are saying but I digress.
cost:
Plugphones: $35
S-Plugs: $130
both:

The plugpohones come with both the silicone and foam type connectors:

The S-Plug wires are just a bit thicker and the plugphones wires feel more rubbery:

The drivers are definitely an issue for me as the S-plug is tiny by comparison, I can still feel the driver of the plugphones in my ear canal but not at all with the S-plugs:

The S-plug has options for shorter cords which make it more manageable when using a bluetooth headset:

Conclusion:
For someone with small ear canals, the S-plug is still a good bet for these types of applications.
