Good morning everyone

Welcome to the day after Friday, which means Monday is lurking somewhere nearby and preparing to pounce. In the meantime there's more of that Compass brand dark roast in the pot waiting for you to enjoy.

It's 68°F and clear in Rockville, headed for 88 under sunny skies.

Brie the cat is now officially an adult cat, having reached the ripe old age of one year as of today. Happy Birthday, kitty cat!

A bike ride is a must-do today, and the earlier the better so I'm going to get on that now.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning Keith and thanks for the coffee start!

It is 61F and cloudy with high humidity after a series of thunderstorms rolled through during the night. Today is forecast to be in the low 80s with a blistering sun. If all goes as usual, it will actually end up being in the 90s.

Mr. Tractor and I ventured into Maine yesterday to my brother's house. He and his wife had 8 yards of loam delivered to fill 3 huge raised garden bed things. Having no tractor of their own they were planning on using a wheelbarrow to accomplish the task of moving the loam. Mr. Tractor wasn't happy that a man still deep in chemotherapy would attempt such a highly manual task and made quick work of it, then retiring to spend the night snoozing beside his trailer.
Today will be spent watching their son play baseball. Tomorrow will be spent helping catch up on more home improvement tasks before Mr. Tractor and I head home to see if the foundation for my new garage has been finished.

Be safe, be careful and (based on yesterday's driving experiences) beware the danger of the Toyota Prius driver!

Scott

P.S. Happy Birthday to Brie the cat!

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start , Keith.
And happy birthday to Brie!

It's 69 in Plattsburgh, NY this morning, rising to 85, later. We expect good weather, with some party cloudy skies .

Our son, DIL and family had to bow out of the weekend activities, because one of the grandkids came down with hand, foot and mouth disease.
We made the longish trip, and had a good evening with our daughter and SIL.
One of our nieces and her family are due to visit from VT, today.

Have a great day,
Steve

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the Compass coffee. Maybe now, I can find my way.

After yesterday’s 1” soaking rain, things are improving. 70/88, mostly sunny with lower humidity, if you can call 60% humidity low.

I probably need to spend some time with my mower today, but I’m not complaining. After the heavy rains for the last few weeks, the lawn is thicker than ever.

I may have to rethink where I place my bird feeder. It seems the feeder has gotten the attention of a beautiful pair of Cooper’s Hawk, but they’re not interested in the seed. A couple of weeks ago, I watched one take one of my squirrels, and yesterday I was witness to a House Finch getting snatched from the feeder.

Good morning, all! Thanks for the Compass coffee, Keith...pointed me in the right direction this morning. Happy Birthday, Miss Brie!

As happens every summer (without fail, and seems to happen earlier every year now), Montreal has turned into a sauna. To say that the week has been hot and sticky would be an understatement. As soon as you step outside, the heat sears your eyebrows off and the humidity wraps itself around you like a boa constrictor. Several severe thunderstorm warnings have been in effect, but apart from one series of heavy downpours with a few boomers, they seem to have skirted around our fair island to the south or north. Today will be slightly cooler and mostly sunny. The current temperature is a pleasant 20°C/68°F, and the high will be 27°C/81°F with a feels-like of 33°C/88°F.

And that's all I have to say about that. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty
