Progressive Motorcycle Insurance

Progressive quickly settled the property damage part of my accident from December where I was rear ended by a truck.
They gave me book value for my ST 1300 and they gave me $300 credit for my helmet with a helmet mounted flashing light.
Truthfully, I paid far less than that for both the helmet and the cheap little red tail light, which was nothing like the Brake Free unit I later ordered after the accident.

Been 30 plus years (longer, I'm sure) with Progressive ... no independent can better the home and auto coverage to this day (2 weeks ago, contacted two different independents).

After the Harvey horrific damage, submitted claims for the house, a Jaguar and Mercedes, 2 Hondas - they paid in full.

Shockingly, Progressive called ME upfront before I called them , after Harvey passed thru ... "we suspect y'all have encountered major damage "... they paid immediately... obviously, still with them. 👍

They paid fine on my deer strike - no complaint with that.
But if you are unfortunate to have another claim within some time period just beware.
On motorcycles (at least) have two claims within a certain time period and you are shown the door just like me regardless of how long you've been a customer. ;)

Glad you got it all sorted out and found reasonable coverage. Just out of curiosity do you put full coverage on all your ST11s
Yes, but the collision doesn't cover very much with the deductible taken out.

Just curious - have you had any other claims on your house?
I wonder if the 'two strikes' and you're out only applies to motorcycles.
I had no problem with their pay out - I just didn't realize it would lead to non-renewal. ;)

No previous claims on the house. The "2 Hondas" I mentioned were motorcycles, so 4 vehicles claimed overall. That house doesn't exist anymore (county bought it and demolished it). Progressive assisted us to find a new (acreage) property more northward and at a much higher elevation.

The reason I asked is that I too had no issues with the first settlement when my bike was totaled by the deer.
I was just shocked when the adjuster decided to roll over on the second claim (should have never been accepted).
Then I was more shocked when I got the non-renewal letter because of 'two' claims when the last one was their decision to payout not based on fault and the first one was nothing I could have avoided.
