Putting ST1300 on center stand

The video is 9 years old and yet completely helped me, thanks!
'Welcome. The original demonstrational video here was posted by Raven, who showed me. The physics never change only nuance of technique. My ST1300 is gone now replaced by a 833 lb Goldwing and the same technique works to get the Wing up on the center stand.

Shockingly, I find it easier to get the Gold Wing on the centerstand than with the ST.
My 'Wing buddy says the same thing about his 2005 'Wing and my ST. I no longer fill up after a ride and I keep the tires at 42/42. I think a 2" board would be taller than I need and at that point require quite a port list to touch the ground. :D

What was really funny is I had 3 other men with me to pickup the bike and they were convinced that the lift handle (which is NOT named in the manual!?) is the seat release and that the pulls cable is broken and need to be fixed! One of the guys is a huge (6’4” 275lb) Harley guy so he forced the bike into the center stand, and I thought, “there is no way I’m going to get it up on the stand!”, I’m 5’7” $1.75... the other gentleman rides sport bikes all over the world but he’s 5’4” and maybe $1.35, but was the first one to suggest it was the seat release, the third guy didn’t have a clue on anything and just wanted to get it loaded. Me, I knew there was something more to it. Maybe it’s not reading the same as it sounds but re-read with three stogies music in your head.

Haha thanks to this here internet thingy and DuckDuckGo I was able to search, what is the left handle next to seat st1300 to get here and solve the mystery!

I’m just utterly surprised that Honda didn’t provide a demonstration or more details in the manual! What other mystery’s will the forum solve for me!?

1. Fixed : )
It can be spelled either way. The owner’s manual, left and right side covers, ignition key logo, meter cover emblem, spell it Goldwing.

On my GL1000 it was GOLDWING. I always like that stylization and would type it that way if it were more convenient.

Well among the things I can report since getting my 1300 last week is that it takes SIGNIFICANTLY more effort to put on the centerstand than my 1100.

Must be those extra 200cc are filled with lead.

One thing that is never talked about when placing the ST1300 on it's centerstand, is How much junk do you have in the saddlebags and topcase...weight that is?

Also, check your tires and make sure they are at 42 lbs. The less air in them, the harder it makes it.

Did anybody mention 2 bars on the gas gauge? A full tank can make a difference. Still gonna get a little ramp for the back tire.

Roll the rear wheel onto a 1/2" to 3/4" thick board... will make a world of difference.
