Rear shocks from e-bay

The better shocks are done based on your weight, riding style, etc.
My guess it would be a crap shoot - maybe good, maybe bad.
Yep. The money saved vs the chance of getting a good working shock for any given rider doesn't seem worth the time and trouble of installation. There are reputable sellers on ebay. But unless Lady Luck is a family member I'd spend the extra cash and go custom. If you have good luck at the tables...

looks like a stuff from aliexpress that I bought year ago.. 12 mm thick spring was too stiff, and it leaked out just after 1000km right in the middle of long ride.. had to ride about 4000 km more on pogo stick...

That was my concern - that there would be a failure 'mid-trip' and leave a rider in a bad possibly crashing situation.

Agreed. I rode a few kilometers thinking, “What the hell is wrong with the handling?” Then I noticed the whole rear wheel was covered in the oil. I was glad I hadn’t binned the OEM shock — I refurbished it after the trip for about the same money I’d paid for that chinese stuff. Still rides well.

What did the refurbish include?

Thank you, I was counting on someone’s personal experience

I took the OEM shock to a hydraulic repair shop. They replaced the oil and worn seals, and made it serviceable. So now, if I ever need to change the oil, I can just unscrew it. They also made new eye bushings.
